Hi neighbors! I have a major announcement about the future of The Welcome Basket.

I recently started a full time job with a great company, and because of that and other obligations, it is time for me to find a new owner for The Welcome Basket.

This small business has been a dream-come-true for so many reasons. It has been a great way to meet new neighbors and support local businesses. Plus I have been able to do this while having my kids with me, which has been amazing.

If you, or someone you know, might be interested in purchasing this fully operational business, please reach out. I would love to find someone who loves our community and sees the value in introducing local businesses to newcomers through housewarming gifts.

We have partnered with United Way of Roanoke Valley to help FILL THE BUS! Our lobby with be open from 7-5 to accept donations. Please help us support the local public schools supply kids in need with school supplies.

Happy neighbors! I saw this mat while I was out delivering yesterday and forgot to post about it on It’s super cute, summery, and maybe even a little risqué?

Many people see the pineapple as a symbol of “welcome” and southern hospitality. Some people see the pineapple (especially when it’s upside down) as a symbol of something else. 😉 Either way, these new neighbors are definitely welcoming and friendly!
