Hi! I’m Jessica, the owner and founder of Pet Pals!

If you’re new around here after seeing us on Hello Roanoke, I thought I’d take a minute to introduce myself!

I started Pet Pals back in 2003 right here in Roanoke. What started as a small pet sitting business has grown A LOT over the years, and today we have an amazing team of more than 20 people caring for pets all over Roanoke and Salem.

I’m still very much involved in the day-to-day, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

One of the things that matters most to me is making sure that when you hire Pet Pals, you’re not just getting someone to show up and walk your dog. You’re getting a team of people who genuinely care about your pets, communicate with you, pay attention to the little things and treat your home and your pets with the same care we would want for our own.

That’s a big part of why we’re putting so much more focus on dog walking and our Adventure Walks. I know from experience how hard it can be to juggle work, kids, meetings, errands and ALL the things while also feeling guilty that your dog is home alone - That’s where we come in. 🐾

We get your dog out, moving, sniffing, exploring and having a good time while you take care of everything else.

And after 23 years in this business, I can honestly say that I’m just as passionate about it now as I was when I started.

So if you’re new here… welcome! I’m so glad you found us.

And if you’ve been with Pet Pals for years, thank you. You are a HUGE part of why we’re still here 23 years later.

🐾 Next up in our Meet the Team series is Sarah! 🐾

Sarah has been part of the Pet Pals family for over 10 years, and we are so lucky to have her!

She is wonderful with all animals, but she has definitely earned her title as our go-to cat expert. 😻 When we have a tricky cat situation, Sarah is often the one we call. And if a cat needs medication? She is a total pro at pilling cats!

Sarah also works a full-time job, but that has never stopped her from jumping in to help whenever she can. She gets up early, gives up time on her weekends, and makes sure our Pet Pals pets are well cared for.

That kind of dedication over 10+ years means so much to us. ❤️

You’ll spend your days outside, getting your steps in, making pups’ days better, and being part of a team that takes exceptional pet care seriously.

WELCOME to our little - not going to be so little soon - VISTA! Our staff has fallen head over heels for this sweet little girl who is growing to be a lover of adventure.
