📢 URGENT PLEA FROM THE BEDFORD COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER 📢

The shelter is BURSTING at the seams. Every kennel is full, and the clock is ticking for so many deserving dogs who just need a chance. Among them is Rebel— a misunderstood boy who is desperately waiting for someone to see past his fear and offer him a lifeline.

Rebel hasn’t had much kindness in his life. He’sunsocialized, and the shelter is overwhelming for him. He doesn’t know how to ask for love — instead, he panics. When taken out of his kennel, he screams and pulls, frantic to return to the small space he’s come to see as the only place he’s safe. But behind that fear is a dog who wants to connect. He just needs someone patient enough to show him how. Rebel has shown positive interest in other dogs and might do well with a canine friend — as always, ameet and greet is required to ensure a good match. He’s not suitable for homes with livestock.

The truth is, Rebel and many others like him don’t have time. This isn’t just another sad shelter story — this is REAL. The shelter is full, and without adopters, or rescues, dogs are being left with no options. Please consider stepping up for Rebel or one of the many other dogs in need. He doesn’t know what it’s like to be chosen, to feel safe outside a kennel, or to sleep without fear. You could change that.

Meet DJ! DJ finds himself in need of a new home, and his current guardian says, "Dj is a loving 5 and half year old poodle mix. He enjoys cuddling and sitting next to his favorite person. He is deaf but this doesn’t stop him from doing all the normal doggy things. He loves to sleep most of the day and loves to go on car rides. His favorite snack is anything peanut butter. He is home trained and is able to have free range the home through out they day."

We would love to help DJ find his new home! PLEASE REMEMBER: DJ is NOT in our shelter. He is available through our rehoming program.
