YOUR HOME COULD BE A SHELTER DOG’S TURNING POINT ❤️. Have you ever thought about fostering a dog but weren’t sure where to start? Join us for our Dog Foster Program-Orientation/Open House happening TONIGHT and learn how you can help give a shelter dog a break, a place to decompress, and the chance to thrive in a home environment!

Our foster team will walk you through how the program works, what to expect as a foster, the support and supplies we provide, and how we work with you to find a foster dog who is a good fit for your home.

Whether you’re ready to foster right away or simply want to learn more, we’d love to have you!

Adoptable Mule is AMAZING!

Did you know he spent over 150 days at his previous shelter and for no reason anyone could understand. We were hoping a change of scenery would help him find his people, but he’s now been with us for two weeks and still nothing.

And we just don’t get it because Mule is SO good! He’s been fantastic here, and we think he may even be housebroken. He also has done well playing with othee dogs here, too.

And if you’ve met Mule at one of our off-site events, you already know what a gem he is. He has been fantastic meeting people of all ages— happily showing off his sweet personality and proving what a wonderful companion he can be. He even did great at our event at Sunset Woods Park with Girl Scout Troop 47470!

So what are we missing?! Why hasn’t anyone scooped up this amazing boy yet? Maybe is finally going to be Mule’s lucky break! His adoption fee is just $75 through this weekend (and for all pets 6 months and older).

Please don’t let Mule’s wait continue. Come meet him— might just find your new best friend.

Fun-loving adoptable Kat is ready to find her person!

This petite little lady is equal parts sweet, social, and FUN. Kat is a total lover girl who lives for attention—rubbing against your feet, leaning in for affection, and making sure she’s never too far from her people.

You may notice Kat has a unique-looking eye, but our veterinary team has checked it out and determined that no treatment is needed. It doesn’t slow her down one bit, and she’s expected to live a completely normal, happy life!

Happy adoption update on our big ol’ teddy BEAR!

Bear is really living his BEST life! His forever family says he is the “sweetest, funniest, and most gentle dog ever,” and it sounds like he’s living the dream! He has his choice of multiple dog beds, human beds AND couches, loves sunbathing in his big backyard, playing fetch with his human sisters, and going on walks with his dad.

But perhaps Bear’s sweetest accomplishment? He’s helped his human sibling overcome her fear of big dogs. ❤️

Bear’s family says, “We cannot imagine our life without him. We love him so much! He’s brought so much joy and laughter into our home!”

Adoptable Waldo is the total package: affectionate, playful, and always happiest when he’s close to his people. Waldo has been spending some time in a foster home, and we’ve learned SO much about what a fantastic dog he is!

His foster family says he’s still a puppy at heart and loves checking in throughout the day for a little affection and reassurance. He’s also surprisingly quiet! In two weeks with his foster family, he has only barked twice!

And there’s a lot more to love about Waldo:

🏠 He’s nearly completely potty trained with a consistent schedule.

💤 He sleeps peacefully in his crate all night.

🧸Squeaky toys, chew toys and a good game of tug-of-war are some of his favorites.

🐾 He loves going for walks and has worked hard on his leash skills.

🚶He’s built up his stamina and can comfortably join his people for walks up to three miles!

❤️ Most importantly, he’s an incredibly loving dog who really enjoys being with his people.

Like any puppy-at-heart, Waldo is still learning his manners. He can get a little mouthy when he’s excited and wants to play, but he’s been working on appropriate play and responding to redirection.

Waldo has shown us just how well he can settle into a home with some routine, consistency and love. Now he just needs to find the people who will make that home permanent! The fun continues!

Another 40 animals went HOME this week! That’s 40 dogs and cats starting their next chapters with families of their very own and we’re not done yet!

In celebration of Clear the Shelters, adoption fees are just $75 for all pets 6 months and older through the end of August!
