Five years gone and it still feels like yesterday 😭

Finally back together again.

At 1230 PM PST today, on January 30th, 2021, my best kitty boi ever drew his last breath before trotting across the rainbow bridge.

I am beyond grateful that he was not only such an amazing cat to me, and to my friend who has been caring for him for the last five years of his life, but to you all and the entire internet who he has brought so much joy to over the past decade since we originally filmed the "Cat Meows Underwater" video (Which has long since gone viral and now has like 15 Million views).

I feel like this is the end of an era. It's an incredibly depressing thing when a pet known by millions of people & who has been memed and GIF'd 100K over has to cross the rainbow bridge. But he was ready. 100%. He let us know several times beforehand these past few years that he was NOT ready, and that we should NOT give up on him, and I'm glad we didn't, way back when.

But this time, he was ready. I'm so sad. I know I haven't been caring for him these past five years, but he was 13, and he stuck by me through three major relationships, college, and a move across the country from Pennsylvania to California. He had stopped eating though, and he was ever so tired.

He's at peace now. The internet lost another famous good boi today 😭
