Some dogs walk into the shelter ready to meet the world. Gregory needed the world to slow down and meet him where he was.
When Gregory first arrived at our center, he was timid, overwhelmed, and unsure of everything around him. New people, new sounds, and a completely unfamiliar environment were a lot for this sensitive boy to take in.
So, Gregory took his time.
Little by little, he began to trust. He started seeking connection, exploring his surroundings, and showing us more of the sweet, curious dog hiding beneath all that uncertainty.
Now, we are seeing Gregoryโs personality shine more every day.
He enjoys being around other dogs and seems to gain confidence from having canine friends nearby. He loves stuffed toys, especially carrying them around like prized possessions, and once he feels comfortable, his playful puppy side comes bursting through.
Gregory is also incredibly smart. Give him a dog puzzle, and he may have it figured out before you do. He is curious, thoughtful, and always learning.
Gregory may still need a little patience when adjusting to a new place, but he blossoms quickly once he realizes he is safe. The family who gives him that time will get something incredibly special in return: the chance to watch a once-timid dog discover just how loved and secure he can be.
Gregory has already come so far.
Now he just needs someone willing to be part of the rest of his story.
