💔 One year old. A whole year of waiting.
Sally came to us when she was just 3 months old, frightened and painfully skinny after arriving from a crowded, high-intake city shelter. We promised her that her forever family was out there somewhere.
But last week, Sally turned ONE, and she’s still waiting.
Day after day, she waits without a single inquiry. No one asks to meet her. No one gets the chance to see the incredible dog she truly is.
And that breaks our hearts.
Because Sally is so much more than another shelter dog.
She’s funny, smart, and full of life. She’ll make you laugh with her silly antics, happily toss toys around the yard, and then curl up beside you for cuddles when playtime is over. She has the softest, velvety coat and the sweetest soul.
Like many dogs who haven’t always had an easy start, Sally can be nervous in new situations. But every day she chooses bravery. Every day she tries again. All she needs is someone willing to give her a chance.
She can be selective about her dog friends, but when she finds a dog she loves, she LOVES them. Because of her energetic personality, she would do best with older children who can keep up with her enthusiasm.
Sally isn’t asking for perfection. She isn’t asking for a mansion or endless toys.
She’s simply waiting for someone to love her for who she is.
A year is a long time for a young dog to spend without a family.
Please help us change Sally’s story. Share this post, tell your friends, or better yet—apply meet her. We think once you do, you’ll wonder how she ever got overlooked.
❤️ Sally is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and on preventatives. She’s ready to go home.
Could you be the family she’s been waiting for?
