Congratulations to our Best Dog Graduate, Oppo and his mom, Alicia! 🎓

Oppo is a Golden Retriever through and through. He loves everyone, thinks every adventure is the best adventure, and approaches life with the enthusiastic confidence of a lovable frat bro who just wants everyone to have a good time.

His mom came to us with a big goal. She wanted to believe Oppo had everything it takes to become a therapy dog, but first he needed to learn that excitement and good manners can go hand in hand.

Oppo joined our Day Train Program, where we focused on channeling all of that happy boy energy into making great choices, checking in with mom, and staying connected even when the world around him was exciting. He loves to learn, and once structure and clear expectations became part of the game, he was thrilled.

The result is a team that works beautifully together. Oppo passed his Canine Good Citizen with flying collars and continued on to earn his Pet Partners Therapy Dog certification!

You are looking at our newest official Pet Partners Therapy Dog Team and our newest Best Dog Graduate. We are so proud of everything Oppo and his mom have accomplished together. Oppo still greets life with the same joyful, goofy personality that everyone loves, he just now knows when it’s time to settle in, make good choices, and be the steady companion so many people will benefit from.

We have no doubt that Oppo is going to share that trademark Golden Retriever happiness everywhere he goes, bringing comfort, smiles, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Congratulations to our newest Good Dog Graduate, Loki!🎓

Loki is a Corgi and Border Collie mix with a thoughtful heart and a curious mind. When he first joined us, the world could feel a little overwhelming, and his family wanted to help him build confidence and learn that he always had good choices available to him.

Loki joined us for our Day Train Program, where we focused on engagement, confidence, and teaching him that he didn’t have to face every situation head-on. Instead, he learned to check in with his people, move away when he was uncomfortable, and make thoughtful decisions.

And he absolutely rose to the challenge.

With every outing, Loki became more connected, more confident, and more willing to choose calm over uncertainty. His family has put in an incredible amount of work, and it shows in every success they share together.

Loki is still the intelligent, observant little guy he has always been. He just now knows that sometimes the best choice is to simply walk away and trust his people.

We are so proud of everything Loki and his family have accomplished and can’t wait to see where this journey takes them.

Congratulations to our Best Dog Graduate, Waylon and his mom, Heather!🎓

Heather came in with a mission. She had only known her gorgeous Australian Shepherd for a few months, but she already knew he had the potential to be an incredible therapy dog.

Upon meeting Waylon, we immediately saw exactly what she saw and came up with an ambitious plan: pass the Canine Good Citizen Test to confirm our expectations and then earn his Pet Partners Therapy Certification.

Waylon nailed it. Heather and Waylon connected beautifully and breezed through every task that was asked of them. He passed his Canine Good Citizen with flying collars, and they rode that success all the way to the Pet Partners evaluation.

Congratulations to our newest Good Dog Graduate, Bailey! 🎓

Bailey is a Braque du Bourbonnais, also known as a French Pointer. She has a TON of personality, and it was hard to contain all of it! Her mom simply wanted to enjoy public outings without over-the-top behaviors like lunging after bikes and scooters.

Bailey joined our Day Train Program, where we redirected that spicy attitude into making better choices like checking in with mom and practicing good manners.

Bailey loves to learn. We put a huge focus on choosing us during high-distraction moments, and as soon as we added structure to her walks and outings, she thrived.

Almost immediately, her mom was able to take her to busy public places filled with people, kids, dogs, bikes, and other rolling distractions. Summer has just started, and they are already reaching the goals they set together!

We are so proud of all the hard work Bailey and her mom have put in. Bailey still has tons of personality, she just knows what to do when she’s feeling worked up instead of giving mom attitude. Keep up the amazing work!
