12 year old gelding
Callaway's Double Old Fashioned "Gibbs" is available for your consideration. We acquired Gibbs in 2021 from Callaway Hills. He had light training but we put the finish on him. We are selling as we just don't have time for him and he needs a job and someone to keep him busy. He would be ideal for an AOTR or would do well in a lesson program for advanced to intermediate riders. He needs to be ridden with a knowledgeable hand. Gibbs is 12 years old, has been shown in Country and Classic Pleasure by our oldest daughter. She started showing him when she was 11 years old in Model horse, and then in Country Pleasure when she was 12 years old. She is now 14 and still showing him. We have used him in our lesson program for advanced or intermediate riders.
Gibbs has also made a few trips to the Midwest Horse Fair as part of the American Saddlebred Breed demonstration. He has been started on equitation patterns, he ground drives but has NOT been broke to drive. Up to date on all shots and vet work, he is an easy keeper, can go barefoot in the winter, and can be turned out or kept in a stall.
