Of course, I chose him - how could you say no? Hawke do Summerwind. Riding ba****ck again to help my back - it just feels better. Hot, hot, hot! But rode every day this week - a different horse each day. Riding photos by John as he drove in.

Thank you very much Haras Mineirao! I am honored to be recognized last night at Mineirao Fest! The online auction was exciting and i wanted to bid on so many! Looking forward to a promising future for the Mangalarga Marchador!

Qyra do Summerwind gets the M brand and the ranch brand after passing inspection. We used a different way to freeze brand with the brand at a lower temperature. Very soon after this, there was only a faint sign of the mark. In a month or so, we will know if this gentler way was just as effective.

Happy smiles all around after our successful inspection today! Qyra do Summerwind owned by us and Famoso do Saint Horse owned by Amanda Moreira, Haras Yara. They look so much alike. More photos and videos tomorrow as I try to catch up. Thank you George Vilar and Sean Albach for your dedication to the breed.

The Puissance Wall at Dublin Horse Show.

First female winner in 61 years. Just 20 years old. Room to spare.
An incredible achievement and very proud of her!

But…

my heart is with the one who didn’t choose to be there.
The one who cannot read a schedule or understand history books.
The one who only knows that his rider asked, and so he gave without question.

Over two metres of solid wall, he launched himself with every ounce of muscle and courage in his body.
Not because of prize money or glory.
But because of the bond between horse and human, that silent contract that says, I will try for you.

It’s a privilege to ever ask a horse to do this for us, and it should never be forgotten.

That is the real winner to me.
The horse who gave his whole heart.
The animal who owes us nothing, yet offers us everything.

So my congratulations go to them both but my deepest respect will always be for the horse.

Thank you to Haras Mineirao for having us! The time was too short. The Brazilian barbecue and food was amazing! We had a fabulous time talking about and meeting Mangalarga Marchadors. We met other owners and breeders too. We have such a bright future ahead. Here there is passion!
