CWD laws!!! ..please read this!!

If you are hunting out of state and plan on bringing me a deer, do yourself a favor and make sure you know the laws concerning deer transport across state lines. It is a VERY serious fine if you are caught bringing a head across state lines (could even be jailtime). A lot of people aren’t aware of this law, but Mr green jeans will say it’s your job to know the law.

I believe there are a few areas over on the Mississippi delta that are “locked down” as well. Meaning the same rules apply as out of state deer, but you can’t bring them out of certain parishes.

When the fines and punishments are more than that of a DUI , something is wrong! We all need to research this and become aware of the facts about cwd. This isnt going to stop anytime soon and it will have an impact on everyone at some point!!!

Please slow down and make your cuts in the correct place. If you cut up the armpits and I have to do a lot of unnecessary sewing, there’s going to be additional charges added. I’ve gotten several bad cape jobs and let it slide, but I can’t anymore. Also, don’t assume that the processors know what they’re doing. I’ve got bad ones from then too! A quality mount starts when you kill the animal. Take your time when it comes to skinning, then hurry up and get it cold.
