Just wanted to send it out there to anyone new finding Lovable Paws Rescue and Sanctuary for the first time.
Located on a 5 acre farm in Ridgeland we are the home for several misplaced, unwanted loving dogs looking for forever homes. There are a number of dogs that have become Sanctuary dogs for a variety of reasons.
When you arrive you will find a number of dogs running free to greet you at the gate. Most all the dogs are looking for a home but there are a few that we know may never leave with just the average home. However, we will entertain the right situation with a sanctuary dog to see if they will thrive in a home and maybe your home. So, when we say to you that a specific dog is a sanctuary dog that just means they will not leave the farm due to medical needs, behavior, or they have been out and enjoy life on the farm with all their friends instead of a home.
We do welcome visitors to the farm on Fridays and Saturdays 10 to 1. We suggest you do an application ahead of your visit so we have a better understanding of the kind of home life you have for the fur baby you are interested in to see if they would welcome the new life openly or if it would be a struggle for them.
Our family of furkids are welcome to stay for life if needed but our ultimate goal is to find the right homes for them. It may not always work out in your home and that is ok. They are always welcome back.
The first steps is to take a look at our website to see the amazing kids looking for homes and put in an application for someone that is pulling at your heartstrings and once you are here we can show you others that are in your range etc. to see who interacts with you the best. The hardest part to finding a match right now is the length of their stay is longer and they have settled into life at the farm so decompression time will be longer and challenging. So, have an open mind when visiting, sit for a while and let them pick you for a forever family.
