Sweet Marleigh stopped by today for her boarding assessment and her very first puppy trim, & she did an amazing job! 🌟

Boarding assessments are an essential part of helping your pup feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. They give us a chance to get to know your dog’s personality, assess their behavior, and ensure they have a smooth, stress-free experience when it’s time to stay with us.

It’s also the perfect time to start early grooming! Introducing your puppy to baths, clippers, and gentle handling at a young age helps build positive associations and sets the foundation for a lifetime of stress-free grooming.

We’re so proud of Marleigh—she was a superstar for her first big day and we can’t wait to see her again! 🐾💕

🐶🎆 Firework Safety Tips for Dogs 🎆🐾

1. Keep Them Indoors
🏠 Never leave your dog outside during fireworks. Even fenced yards aren’t safe — they may panic and run.

2. Create a Safe Space
🛏️ Set up a cozy, quiet spot with their bed, favorite toys, and a blanket
🔇 Close windows and curtains to block out noise and flashes

3. Use Background Noise
📺 Play calming music, TV, or a white noise machine to help mask the sounds

4. Stay Calm Yourself
😌 Dogs take cues from you — stay relaxed to help ease their anxiety

5. ID & Microchip Up-to-Date
📛 Make sure your dog’s collar has current tags
📲 Microchipping is a great backup in case they get out

6. No Fireworks Near Pets
🚫 Never bring your dog to a fireworks show or light fireworks near them

7. Use Calming Aids if Needed
🌿 Consider vet-approved calming chews, anxiety wraps, or medications (ask your vet first)

8. Exercise Earlier in the Day
🏃‍♂️ A good walk or play session before the fireworks can help reduce nervous energy

It’s time to meet our Pup of the Week Kudi Fulton! 🤩👑💙⭐️ ⭐️

👑Kudi brings lots of sass, fur and love to the Puppy Lodge every time he comes, & all the staff absolutely love his goofy self!🥰

👑Kudi’s birthday is April 6,2020🎂🎉 as mom says her Aries king♈️

👑Kudi loves his mom more than anything in the whole world🌎, followed closely by his squeaky tennis balls🎾, and beware if you have a water hose he is coming for it💦

👑Kudi has many hobbies that he loves to do daily!! He loves his early morning walks 🦮, staring deep into your soul while you eat😳, and attention from strangers ❤️

👑Kudi does wanna share some facts with y’all: he is left-pawed and will proudly give you a dramatic high-paw when asked or…..if you have some peanut butter🥜😋 (mom says it’s almost like he can hear/smell the jar opening from another room), he also shares the same birthday as Paul Rudd (mom said it makes perfect sense because his favorite movie is “I Love You, Man”)😍

It’s time to meet our Pup of The Week Lola Jean Simmons! 🤩💗⭐️ ⭐️

🎀 Lola brings love, cuddles, and fashion to the Puppy Lodge every time she comes, & all the staff absolutely love her sweet style!🥰

🎀 Lola’s birthday is August 3rd, 2023🎂🎉
Her Gotcha Date is November 10th, 2023🫣❤️

🎀 Lola loves coming to daycare to play with her friends😋, loves car rides with mamma🏎️, and going anywhere with her big brother.🥰

🎀 Lola has a favorite toy that is a Halloween bone🦴 mom tells us even though she ripped out all the stuffing and shredded it down, she still chooses it as her favorite toy out of 2 different toy baskets😂

🎀 Lola is also very special in her own way!! She can tell someone is at the door before they ring the doorbell🫣 she also is able to tell mom when something is wrong with big brother by coming and scratching on her leg🤗

🎀 Lola runs the house and her grandparents house!!😂 She is spoiled down to the paws and would much rather choose to snuggle with mom than sleep in any of her 3 beds!! 🐶🛏️
