Team FarmHill had yet another outstanding weekend and was surrounded by great company while competing at Silver Tail Farm for their annual Dream Team Dressage Show. Every rider and horse came home with triumphs and victories:

Lexi and Sugar finished 5th overall for the weekend in their division and were overall junior rider high-point!! Lexi also earned two 8.0’s in her second test earring a 66.21% at T:2 🙌

Alex and Lyla earned 4th overall in their division and came home learning lots as she makes the move up to first level. She had many 7’s and 7.5’s!! ✨

Mikaela and Khal, owned by Cynthia Pelley took home the show’s high-point for both their test group and open rider division, with scores of 73.61% and 74.24% at first level and a 67.29% at second level for the pairs first outing!

Mikaela and Kitten, owned by Jessica Wickersham and Jamie Huff were 3rd overall in their test division, along with reserve high-point for open rider. They earned multiple scores of 9.0 on Sunday with a 74.697% for Kittens first time at first level!! They also helped Team TBEA earn reserve team high-point 🏆

Team FarmHill (Lexi and Sugar, Alex and Lyla, Mikaela and Khal) took home reserve team high-point within their grouping 🥈

We are beyond proud of everyone for all their hard work and dedication. Also a huge shout out to our amazing groom Gwen for keeping the horses looking their best!! And thank you to Silver Tail Farms for putting on such fun schooling shows!

FarmHill had an incredibly successful time at Spokane Sport Horse last weekend with Mikaela and Smitten, owned by Jessica Wickersham and Jamie Huff finishing on their dressage score of 23.2 leading the Open Beginner Novice division start to finish! Kitten also earned overall high-point for TIP! 🥇 Jen Plassmeier and Damanio L cruised around their first event, also finishing on their dressage score earning themselves a 10th place finish in a large Open Beginner Novice division! ✨

FarmHill rider Jen McDonald and her horse Indy were also competing last weekend in Working Equitation, with scores of 72% in dressage, and winning high-point in obstacles at 73% and the best test of the show! 🦄

We are so proud of our FarmHill horses and riders! Your hard work, heart, and harmony truly shined. ❤️

A few weeks ago we were at Whidbey Equestrian Center for their Spring Show, and it was a great time!

Mikaela kicked things off by winning her first I1 test of the year, despite limited prep time due to an injury on her part. Quinn also had an unexpected visitor mid-PSG test (never a dull moment!), but still pulled off a strong third place in a very competitive division with a 64.56%.

Gunfire also had a fantastic weekend—he won his 3:1 test and placed third at 3:3, earning multiple 8s along the way!

Overall, we’re super proud of the team’s results and resilience. This weekend we are at our first three-day event of the year at Spokane Sport Horse—stay tuned!

A few weeks ago, we had an incredible time at Silver Tail Farm for their Spring League Show!
Both Alex and Lexi moved up a level, earning strong scores and showing all their hard work paying off.
Ross, owned by absolutely shined at his very first show earning an impressive 72.6%!
We’re so proud of our team and grateful for the supportive community that makes these moments so special.

What a fantastic start to the year for Team FarmHill at our first horse show of the season!

⭐️ Mikaela and Quintessence won the Prix St. George on Saturday, earning an impressive 67.65%
⭐️ Emma and Gunfire, owned by Janette Herrera had good scores at Second level and made the move up to third level, securing multiple first-place ribbons and showing incredible progress!

A huge thank you to our amazing trainer, Suzan, for her dedication, guidance, and unwavering support. We couldn’t do it without you!

We’re so proud of our riders and horses—here’s to an exciting season ahead!

A bit late like usual but, Wow wow wow! We are so proud of everyone at the Fort Vancouver Fabulous Fall Show! We had 12 horses at the show which kept our trainers and grooms very busy!

A few highlights from the weekend;
Mikaela and Smitten owned by Jessica Wickersham overall high point with over a 73%
Emma and Gunfire owed by Janette Herrera were Jr high point on Sunday with her third level debut receiving a 66.35%!

5yo Bella owned by Kylie and ridden by Mikaela was started under saddle earlier this year at FarmHill and received over 70% at her first show!

Jen P. with Raison owned by Courtney Tasso received a 70% on day 2.

Solomon owned by Penny Moraga ridden by Mikaela had his first big outting with very consistent scores earning some 1st and 2nd place ribbons.

Alex, Arielle, Courtney A., Jen M, Jessica, and Janette have all made huge strides in the last few months improving their scores and overall riding tremendously throughout the show season! Even receiving some first places!

Alexis did a great job piloting Roo around even while being so sick. You’re a trooper!

Last but not least our youngsters, Lauren and Lexi have done an amazing job getting ready and preparing for their first show! They both came home with a big confidence boost!

We are all so proud of everyone and all their accomplishments! We also want to thank our amazing grooms and trainers that make this possible for everyone! It sure takes a village! Please post your photos in the comments!

We are so proud of everyone at ODS Championships last weekend! Emma and Olivia were in JR/YR Champs at 1st Level and Training Level. Emma was Reserve Champion and Olivia came in 6th.

Our assistant trainer Alexis received 1 score at PSG towards her silver medal and has 1 score left to go!

Mikaela rode Macey owned by Olivia and got over 65% for Macey’s first level debut!

Great job everyone!

We had a great trip to .horse.park today! Thank you for offering these schooling days to get the horses & humans out and building confidence in their partnerships. We had 7 horses with us today and will be going with another group next weekend!

✨ July Show Highlights ✨

July was a busy and rewarding month for team FarmHill, with several successful outings!

We began the month at the Champagne Classic at the Washington State Horse Park, where Quinn and Mikaela achieved their final I1 scores, towards their gold medal. Student Olivia and her horse Honey, had good scores at Training Level qualifying for ODS Championships.

We had a wonderful time at Silver Tail Farm’s League Show. Alex with Lyla, and Niki with Moqui, participated in their second-ever show, improving with each test! Mikaela took her horse Theo, and had good scores at 1st Level for his second time out. It was a pleasure to reconnect with friends and fellow competitors at the event!

To close out the month, we attended Bello Acers at Donida Farms Dressage Festival. Our student Emma made her debut with Jack, owned by Janette Herrera, and received over 70% at Second Level, along with a few first and second place ribbons. Emma also earned her 1st and 2nd level scores towards her bronze medal. Olivia and Honey continued their great show season receiving qualifying scores for Regional Championships, while Mikaela and Quinn took home second place both days at I1.

As always a big thank you to our amazing groom Sierrah for keeping all the ponies looking and feeling their best!

We are looking forward to a few more shows in the fall to round out the show season! Great work everyone!

FarmHill Equestrian Center, located in Ridgefield, WA, just minutes off I-5, has a few rare openings coming available for boarding and training. These opportunities won’t last long, so if you’ve inquired before, now is your chance!

Join our welcoming community of boarders, with knowledgeable long-term staff living onsite, indoor arena, 2 large outdoor arenas and 2 round pens. Minimum of 2 training rides or lessons per week required.

At FarmHill, we specialize in Dressage, emphasizing on correct biomechanics for horse and rider. Along with having a few jumpers and eventers in the barn. We also have a regular group of clients going to schooling and rated shows.

Mikaela has her bronze and silver medal along with Pony Club certifications. She is a patient, dedicated instructor that takes the time to hear your goals and formulate a customized plan for you and your horse. She believes having a training plan catered to you and your horses specific needs is key for success. She specializes in teaching solid basics and teaching you the “why” behind what you are doing. She has been sucessfully teaching a variety of clients from young riders to adult amateurs for several years. Along with being focused on her clients education she is also dedicated to her own continued education and is working towards earning her gold medal.

Full care includes:
- Daily turnout (group or individual)
- Hay fed three times a day (Orchard, Timothy, Alfalfa, and Local)
