Most pet parents have no idea how different ultra-processed pet food really is from minimally processed food.
And the gap matters more than we've been led to believe.
Ultra-processed foods are typically high-heat extruded kibble. They often rely on rendered meals, fillers, preservatives, and synthetic vitamins added back in after natural nutrients are destroyed during processing. Yes, they meet basic industry standards. But meeting the minimum and supporting optimal health are two very different things.
