Ridgebury Farm Barn Training | Saturday, July 05 2025, 9am-11am

Get hands-on and behind-the-scenes with Ridgebury Farm’s barn operations! This essential training session is designed to prepare volunteers for daily chores that help keep our animals happy and healthy. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to learn, work hard, and get a little dirty. This is a great opportunity to build confidence around horses while playing a vital role in the care and upkeep of our farm!

We were so grateful to welcome Lydia Sternfeld, MS, OTR of Play and Motion to Ridgebury Farm earlier this week for an in-service training for our staff and therapists! As a seasoned nature-based occupational therapist and practitioner of hippotherapy, Lydia offers valuable insight and fresh perspective. While these approaches are already central to our work, it was so special to learn from her experience and connect with another professional doing meaningful work in this field. 🌿🐴

Our 6-week social group blends hands-on time with animals and nature with activities that build confidence, communication, emotional regulation & more, all led by a licensed mental health counselor.
