A little exploring, a little creating, and a lot of learning. 🌿

This week our Nature Based Learning group helped with farm chores, cared for baby starlings, and made chalk paint from scratch. We love seeing curiosity lead the way!

Growing Through Nature and Connection: Integrating Therapy, Play, and Animal Interactions will feature members of the interdisciplinary team from Ridgebury Farm sharing how nature-based and relationship-centered approaches can support regulation, communication, confidence, and overall development in neurodivergent children and children with special needs.

Whether you’re a parent, educator, therapist, or simply curious about this work, we’d love to have you join us.

What a special evening at Ridgebury Farm’s Barn Party ✨

We are so grateful to the incredible supporters, donors, and friends of the farm who joined us for this intimate evening in the antique barn. Your belief in our mission and the families we serve means more than we can express.

A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors: Band Central, , Marcia Selden Catering & Events, and , for helping create such a memorable experience.

And a very special thank you to Laurence Anne Guillem for sharing her stunning photography to transform the barn into such a beautiful and meaningful space for the evening. Check out her amazing artwork at: www.windhorsephoto.com

It was a night filled with connection, conversation, and community, and we are deeply thankful to everyone who was part of it.

So proud to celebrate our incredible PT, Kim! 👏🐴💚

Kim brings such knowledge, compassion, and dedication to every client and family she works with, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our community. Her commitment to helping individuals build strength, confidence, and independence extends far beyond the clinic walls.

Congratulations, Kim, on this well-deserved scholarship and exciting next step. We can’t wait to see the impact you continue to make!

What happens after rehab ends?

For Kim Hopkins, it’s where the real work begins.

As the creator of Ga***rd’s Exercise for Life program, Kim (left) has helped hundreds of people with permanent physical impairments stay active, build strength, and regain confidence long after leaving therapy. Now, she’ll be expanding her impact even further.

The Cheshire outpatient physical therapist was awarded a scholarship from the Adaptive Training Academy to earn her Adaptive & Inclusive Trainer Certification. This advanced training will enhance safe and inclusive fitness opportunities for veterans with physical or visual impairments, supporting greater independence, well-being, and quality of life.
