I repeatedly urge people
to keep their dogs under control,
to remember that
we don't live alone in this world β
let's respect other people,
other animals,
their space,
their lives.
I give my dogs the freedom they need,
but I still control them,
because I use ecollars.
I'm guided by common sense,
but also by the desire
to give my dogs as much freedom as possible,
but without ever posing a threat to others.
Dog training
according to this principle
requires compromise.
Dogs are different β
some have been through a lot,
others have strong drives,
and others are reactive.
However,
today,
we often only see the tip of our own nose
and the tip of our dog's nose;
today,
we let a dog loose,
and no one cares about the damage they might cause.
We could speculate on the purpose of ecollars;
a leash might be better or enough,
but we all know that
no leash will provide the same freedom as being off leash.
No one has to use what I use,
but every dog owner should be aware that
their dog is a predator,
and that every dog can bite
and cause harm,
so they should be UNDER CONTROL π«Άπ»
* Ecollar is not necessary for every dog.
** And I believe it should always be introduced under the supervision of a good trainer.
