This is a piece from a while back that I never shared online. This little red fox was mounted on a completely custom hand-made sculpture, the only purchased parts were the glass eyes. Making a piece of taxidermy from scratch forces me to dig deeper into my understanding of anatomy and opens my eyes to details that can sometimes be overlooked. I enjoy this process so much because of what can be learned from it and applied to my work moving forward!

I brought the finished piece with me to a couple shows and it was awarded Illinois State Champion, WASCO Award, and runner-up for IL best of show. There was even a cool surprise cameo in Breakthrough magazine for the habitat work! Thanks for looking ☺️🦊
