🧼🐾 Let’s Talk About Matting

Matting isn’t just a cosmetic issue - it’s painful, damaging, and can severely affect your pet’s health and comfort.
Tight mats pull on the skin with every movement, cause bruising, trap moisture, hide sores, and can even cut off circulation in severe cases. 😞

That’s why my approach to matting is always focused on what’s safest and kindest for the pet - not just what looks best.

✨ If the matting is light and the pet is tolerant, I may carefully work them out - only if it’s not too close to the skin.
✨ But in most cases, especially when the mats are tight or causing discomfort, I shave the area to relieve pressure and allow air to reach the skin.
✨ For pets with skin irritation or mat-related wounds, I also use a medicated bath to help soothe and start the healing process.

🚨 It’s important to know that with severe matting, even the most gentle shave can result in:
• Hematomas (from blood rushing back to newly exposed skin)
• Minor nicks or irritation
• Possible redness or “clipper burn” - especially where mats are very close to the skin

My priority is always your pet’s safety and well-being, even if that means a shorter haircut. The goal is comfort first - style second 💚🧡

Because I never want cost to be the reason a pet goes without something they need.
Whether it’s a nail file, ear cleaning, a little paw balm, or gland expression - I include it because your pet deserves complete care, not optional add-ons. 💛

Too often, grooming becomes a checklist of “what can I afford today?” - and that’s not the kind of care I believe in.

I’m a groomer who cares more about your pet’s well-being than how much I can upcharge. I want every dog I work with to feel clean, comfortable, and cared for completely.

I’m currently finalizing a clear, updated price guide that will include base prices by breed to help you better understand starting costs when booking your pet’s appointment 🐶✨

💚 This list will include only applicable breeds from X-Small to Large.
If your pet’s breed is not listed, it likely means they exceed what I can safely accommodate for house-call grooming. In those cases, a mobile trailer groomer would be the best fit for their needs 🧡

This guide is meant to simplify booking while still keeping in mind that final pricing depends on:
✔️ Coat condition
✔️ Size or build
✔️ Temperament at the time of service
