So I don’t usually post stuff about my dogs‘ health situations, but it is easer to put Maybe’s update here. For all that don’t know, Maybe was doing great, jumped 26‘ and 26.3‘ at Reva on Saturday and walked, played and trained on Sunday. However late Sunday evening she couldn’t get up and was clearly super painful as can be seen in the video in the clinic the next morning. Cutting to the chase we finally have a diagnosis of Idiopathic Immune Mediated Polyarthritis and 4 days later she is probably 85% better and much much much more comfortable and almost looks normal! We are excited to be on rest and high doses of steroids (along with all the other things) slowly tapering off over the next 4 months (NOT). Of course we are hoping this will be a one off (which could be possible) and are super sad not to be in the lanes this weekend. Wishing everyone safe and clean racing! We will be cheering you on calmly!

I have to admit I’m a little bit excited….Last season Maybe wasn’t so sure about air retrieve, but we did some work this winter getting her ready to try again. It seems she is starting to understand the assignment! Hashtag tiny baby steps….

Maybe got to run in 2 heats of her first ever Flyball tournament and did great! She is still super green and doesn’t have many personal bests but her newest is a 3.947 in the second of her 2 official races. Hopefully she can keep her eye on the ball and her head straight- both figuratively and literally! Good job Maybe!
