My first Better Bond board and trains have arrived! Say hello to miss Lucy and her sister Sadie. These two are here to shape up their basics and get an intro to the E so that their owners can achieve those off leash hiking goals. Both girls have a little bit of anxiety but I worked them for a few minutes today and they are SO receptive to training. Two smart, sweet girls. Stay tuned for their journey!

Yer local Harvey Dent look alike/Dog trainer is a week post op and feeling good *despite scary zombie stitches face. Everything has been on pause while I got through surgery and the healing process but I am so ready to get back to working some dogs!

✨Reminder of the services that we offer✨

🔸Multiple Board and Train packages - Great for dogs needing work on expectations + boundaries in the home, confidence building, reactivity, off leash reliability, foundation of E Collar layering, socialization, crate training etc

🔸In Home Sessions - Need a tune up on the basics? Work on leash manners, mild reactivity? Puppy foundations + Socialization work? Resource guarding and mild problem behaviors in the home? Private sessions are for you!

🔸Day School - If your dog needs any of the above but a board and train doesn’t feel like the right fit or isn’t in the budget, day school might be the move! I’ll come scoop up your dog a few days a week or train in your house + neighborhood while you’re at work. Great for dogs who have a solid foundation of obedience but need confidence building out in the world. Day school can be all about field trips where we work on desensitization, socialization + engagement in new environments.

Board + Train and Day School packages come with a few sessions each where I show you how to implement what we’ve been working on; how to motivate, reward, reinforce good behavior, discourage unwanted behaviors and help your dog make choices that are positive for you both.

Whichever route you choose - you will have a supporter, advocate and cheerleader in me for the rest of your dogs life! A more peaceful life with your dog/partner/best friend/child in some cases - we’ve all been there - is possible. You can do this. And I’ll be here every step of the way!

Out and about with old gal Izzy last week! While I would never in a thousand years recommend a flexi + harness combo - I am here to work on whichever tools you are comfortable with so long as we can still get some work done. Izzy is 13, mildly reactive on leash and highly food motivated. Next time we will absolutely be switching to a long line that isn’t retractable but we were still able to get some amazing engagement and passed by a few rowdy dogs successfully first visit. Love this houndy shorty goof

Our nervous / reactive girls! Dot and foster Laika exploring Pony Pasture this past weekend 😍Always focused on opening their worlds up, getting their noses going and boosting their confidence as much as we can. Laika needed more support out there but they both peacefully hung out while the Saturday crowd passed by, confirmed that they are part mountain goat with their rock climbing abilities and didn’t pay much mind to any of the dogs we encountered - a good day 😌
