We harvested over 500 pounds of watermelon this week which means we’ll have the first melons of the season for you this Saturday at the Farm Stand from 9am-noon! 🍉

These melons are consistently ripe and very sweet and juicy! We love to stick them in the fridge and enjoy chilled wedges as a super simple and refreshing summertime snack. Make sure to snag one at the Farm Stand this weekend!

Our week-long tomato celebration culminates with our annual La Tomatina Padre event this Saturday, June 14th, from 10am-noon! 🍅

This event is exclusively for residents of and is the perfect way to kick off summer break. Kids of all ages and their families are invited to toss tomatoes at their fathers or father figures. After the last tomato has been thrown, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy light bites made with produce grown and harvested on the farm!

Our annual Tomato Talk and Tasting is coming up on Tuesday, June 10th from 6-7pm! 🍅

Farmer Nathan will lead this comprehensive class all about the beloved tomato. In addition to learning about all of the tomato varieties we’re growing and harvesting, attendees will have the opportunity to see our growing methods, learn about the care involved, and most importantly, sample some tomatoes!

This class is a ticketed event that is open to the public but spots are limited. We highly recommend securing your spot ASAP! You can purchase tickets at the link in the “events” highlight in our profile.

The Harvest Green Lifestyle Team will be kicking off the summer with Storytime at the Farmers Market this Saturday, June 7th, from 10-11am.

A special guest will bring The Maggie B. to life with a magical reading, followed by a treasure trove of games and hands-on fun for kids of all ages. You can RSVP at the link in our stories 😉

We will be returning to our summer hours this Saturday so the market will be open from 9am-12pm. Make sure to stop by and browse all of the local goods from our vendors and pick up some fresh farm produce and flowers. We hope to see you there!

Our much-anticipated La Tomatina Padre, an event exclusively for Harvest Green residents, is swiftly approaching! 🍅

La Tomatina Padre takes place on Saturday, June 14th from 10am-12pm and invites kids to playfully toss tomatoes at their fathers or father figures. After the last tomato has been thrown, you’ll be able to cool down with water activities and nosh on some light bites made with produce from the farm.

We know some of you have been asking about okra at the Farm Stand recently so we are excited to share that okra is back in season!

The recent warm weather kicked our okra plants into gear leading to the first sizable harvest this week. Okra’s arrival signifies our shift away from cool season crops as we fully embrace the warm season. 🌞

Our pepper plants are really starting to hit their stride! We’re currently harvesting five different varieties for you: banana, shish*to, jalapeno, poblano, and green bell. Soon we’ll be able to add Thai chilis and Italian frying peppers to the list. Which one is your favorite?!
