Sometimes, it really is all about the way you think of things. Positive thinking can lead to positive reactions. Would you want people to believe you were a bad person every time you had a rough day? Please read and if you have any questions, just ask. Real information, from real people who work with the dogs, not those who lie to get people upset so they'll fork over money. Money that gets spent on huge salaries, and huge, fancy offices.

"Greyhounds are confined in cages 23 hours per day."

How silly. Greyhounds could not have the amazing athletic bodies they possess if that were, in fact, true.

This is Violator, an active professional racing greyhound. She'd like to dispute that confinement fallacy by demonstrating what she really does in her spare time. Truth is powerful.

I started caring for animals when I was a kid. My parents expected me to be responsible for taking care of our family’s dogs and cats, once I was about 10 years old, and I’ve been caring for animals ever since. A local animal farm had ponies, ducks and chickens, and I curried coats, brushed out manes and tails, picked hooves, led pony rides, and fed/watered the birds. I also did pet sitting for a few neighbor’s animals (I was more comfortable with dogs and cats than babies and toddlers).

As an adult I’ve worked as a veterinary assistant, handling many different kinds of pets, from bunnies and birds, guinea pigs and ferrets, as well as cats and dogs. I spent many years learning about and working with various species of wildlife for educational programs, and took care of some very interesting creatures, including hawks, owls, raccoons, opossums, snakes, lizards, and turtles. I have volunteered at a therapeutic riding center, assisting children with various abilities in riding for physical and mental stimulation & enrichment, and with a greyhound rescue group, and right now I have 2 greyhounds (Merry & Puma), a terrier mix (Kaley), and a Chihuahua (Elliot), as well as 3 absolutely wonderful black cats, named Sarah, Alison, and Felix.
