MS Spay & Neuter is a nonprofit that offers low-cost services in Central Mississippi via the Big Fix Clinic and Elaine's Basic Care & Wellness Center in Richland. Mississippi Spay and Neuter reduces animal homelessness, suffering and euthanasia by providing affordable spay and neuter, and by raising awareness of pet overpopulation. Mississippi's animal shelters can't save and support the huge number of accidental litters, strays, and family pets brought to the shelter door every day.

☀️🐾 Summer days at the park can be a lot of fun for you and your furry friend, but a little preparation goes a long way!

Before heading out, remember to:
💧 Bring plenty of water
🌳 Take breaks in the shade
🐾 Check the ground temperature before walks
🌅 Visit during cooler morning or evening hours
🦮 Keep your pet safely supervised
🗑️ Always clean up after your pet

Most importantly, watch for signs of overheating such as excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or difficulty breathing.
