I'M A PUPPY AND SHOULDN'T BE AT THE SHELTER!
My name is Jim.
I am a male, white and black English Coonhound (Redtick Coonhound) mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 9 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since May 26, 2026.
Jim was found as a stray by a member of the community on South Dennis Street in Kennewick alongside another young dog named Marvin.
Jim currently weighs about 32 pounds and is still growing, so adopters should expect him to get quite a bit bigger as he continues to fill out.
This handsome young guy is right at that fun in-between stage where he’s still very much a puppy but starting to figure things out. He’s playful, curious, goofy, and full of that lovable young dog energy.
Staff is still getting to know Jim, but so far he has been sweet, social, and happy to be involved in whatever is going on around him. He’s the kind of dog that seems ready for adventure, playtime, snacks, naps, and attention all equally.
Since Jim was found as a stray, his history with other dogs or cats is unknown outside of arriving with Marvin. Meet and greets are required with any dogs currently living in the home prior to adoption.
Jim’s adoption fee is $50. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. He is at Tri-Cities Animal Services in Pasco.

Marvin currently weighs about 34 pounds and is still growing, so adopters should expect him to get quite a bit bigger as he continues to fill out.
Like Jim, Marvin is still very much a goofy young dog figuring out the world around him. He’s playful, energetic, curious, and has that lovable puppy enthusiasm where everything feels exciting and important.
Staff is still getting to know Marvin, but so far he has been sweet, social, and eager for attention. He seems happy just being included in whatever is going on and is settling into shelter life well.

A rescue needs to pull him BUT THE RESCUE NEEDS A FOSTER FOR HIM. Is there anyone who can foster Riggs so the rescue can pull him??? Please contact Tri-Cities Animal Services.

Now we need to focus on getting fosters available and get Russ and Stan pulled!

UPDATE: Luna and Roxy have been transferred to BFHS.

Luna (estimated 6 years old) was found roaming Mercier Park in Pasco alongside Roxy, who we believe may be her sister. They came in together and initially sought comfort in one another while settling into the shelter. Since being at Tri-Cities Animal Services, Luna and Roxy are not getting along. Luna is now spayed and ready to go home today! She is available for meet and greets.

Luna weighs about 51 pounds and is already showing her more outgoing personality. She has a little skip in her step and carries a happy, easygoing energy that makes her genuinely fun to be around. She walks beautifully on a leash, knows basic commands, and enjoys being out and about with her people. She is very food motivated and eager to learn, which makes her a great candidate for continued training.

Since she was found as a stray, her history with other dogs outside of Roxy is unknown. At this time, we are not sure how she will do with other canine companions, and meet and greets are required. She will need a home without cats.

Luna is a friendly, upbeat dog who seems ready to step into home life and make herself right at home—she just needs the opportunity to do so as an individual.

Luna’s adoption fee is $50. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms.
