Today we are 10 days away from Tumbleweed Cat Rescue's first intake five years ago, and we are just 10 followers away from 2500 on Facebook. Please spread the word about our little rescue!

Our small team has grown over time, we have helped hundreds of cats, and hundreds of families through our community events! We will have a more detailed post on our 5-year anniversary, but for now, can you help us reach this goal and share a Tumbleweed Cat Rescue post with your friends?!

Pictured: Murdoch is one of our newest intakes. He's an adorable, blind, semi-feral, senior boy that we're just getting to know. So far we know he's cat-friendly, and enjoys wet food and cozy beds!

PLEASE HELP CLARICE FIND HER FOREVER HOME!
Clarice is a 6 ½ year old Belgian Malinois mix that has been at the shelter since 10/9/2024. Clarice is quick to learn, eager to please and loves to stay active. She is a social butterfly and loves meeting new people. She loves her stuffed toys, however, she loves them so much that she will pull them apart and spread stuffing around her. This just means she would do best with plenty of enrichment to keep her happy and mentally stimulated. She would do best as the only pet in the household because she is reactive toward other dogs and has a strong prey drive.

HELP DORITA FIND A FOREVER HOME!
Dorita is a 5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been at the shelter since 10/9/2024. She is a sweet, spunky and totally lovable girl. Her favorite part about the day is playing with her squeaky toys in the yard. After playing, she is very content crashing on the couch and snuggling up. Dorita is social and friendly. She gets along with other dogs and adores humans of all sizes - big and small.

PLEASE HELP CHALET FIND HER FOREVER HOME!
Chalet has been at the shelter since 9/3/2024. She is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix who was found on Columbia Drive. She is a lovebug with her people. Chalet knows some tricks like speaking on command and basic commands. She is super eager to please those around her. She loves toys and cuddling with her humans. She does have a few quirks, such as being reactive to some dogs and some resource guarding of her toys with other dogs. Also, when a stranger approaches her kennel, Chalet has a tendency to put on her “big tough” face and bark, which can make her seem intimidating at first. A good fit would be a home with plenty of love, playtime, and adventure.

JACK
Jack’s journey began on July 26, 2024, when a good Samaritan found him running loose in a park. He is an energetic, 60-pound dog who thrives on activity and attention. His ideal home would need a secure home with a high, well-fenced yard to keep him safe. Jack is smart and full of energy, so his new family will need to provide physical and mental stimulation to keep him happy. Jack is very affectionate with people. He, however, can be selective with other dogs. He does have some resource guarding tendencies when it comes to food and toys, which would require an experienced dog owner to manage, navigate, and train. Jack also can be picky about men.

ADOPTED
Luna our 2nd longest resident at TCAS has found her forever home! Happy Tails sweet girl!💜🥰

🐾Who wore the longest resident crown for less than 24 hours?🐾

Hold onto your leashes, folks — the adoption magic is STILL going strong! ✨

Just *yesterday*, our boy Joseph trotted off into the sunset after 562 days, and the “Longest Resident” crown was passed to the lovely *Miss Luna*, our beautiful Belgian Malinois mix. 👑🐕

But guess what? She wore that crown for *less than 24 hours* — because after **553 days** of waiting like the queen she is, *Luna has been adopted!!!* 🎉🐾

Her new fur-ever family? A kindhearted *dog dad* who saw her, connected instantly, and knew she was meant to be his adventure buddy. It’s just the two of them now — a perfect pair, ready to start their next chapter full of long walks, squeaky toys, and *so much love*. 🐶❤️👨‍🦰

We are absolutely *pawsitively over the moon* (pun intended 🌙) for our Luna girl. Her patience, grace, and tail-wagging optimism finally paid off — and our hearts are bursting.

We’re loving this *fur-tastic* adoption streak… who’s next?! Let’s keep the love rolling! 💛

ADOPTED!!!🥰🥰🥰

**🐾✨STOP THE PRESS – JOSEPH GOT ADOPTED!!!✨🐾**

After *586 pawsitively long tail-wagging days* in our care, our beloved Joseph – the goodest of boys – and our longest resident has *finally found his furever home*!!! 🐶❤️

This afternoon, the *pawfect family* walked through our doors, and fate barked… uh, *sparked*😉 It was love at first sniff. Joseph turned on the charm (as always) and had them *completely smitten* within minutes. One of the daughters even had tears in her eyes as she whispered, “I’m trying so hard not to cry happy tears.” 💕

We’ve watched Joseph wait patiently, day after day, always hopeful, always sweet. Today, that hope paid off in the most *pawsome* way 🐾

This boy has chased his last tail here at the shelter — he’s off to chase dreams, belly rubs, and endless couch snuggles with his *fur-ever* family 🐾✨

Joseph, you’ll always be part of our pack 💛
