Rona Bell
Hi my name is Rona and I was born 4/2020. I got my name from the COVID pandemic. I was supposed to be full blood Basset Hound but maybe some kind of mix. I weigh approximately 44 pounds. My vets office is Kindness Animal Hospital off Jupiter in Garland 972-530-5463.
I am fixed and I am current on all my shots. I eat Science Diet small bites chicken dry food. I eat once in the morning and once at dinner. I am chipped.
I sleep in a kennel at night. I am house trained.
I do not understand stay and will run off if I get out of a fenced area. I do not understand the command come (not even kidding). I do sit and speak. I will sit for treats and gentle when I take them.
I am not a fan of having my feet touched. When I go get my nails trimmed or to the vet for checkups I take calming pills the vet gave me. I tolerate baths and being towel dried ok without the pills. Do not like being dried with a dryer.
I have to have durable toys and I am a good chewer. I don’t chew on furniture or anything but toys, shoes, or socks on the floor … will chew those. I do love to play fetch but don’t always understand bring it back or drop it. Love playing tug of war.
I have been around two other dogs my size and was good with them. Also have been around cats and just want to play with them and did not hurt them. I am hard to walk on a leash just because I am so strong. I do get a little excited when around new people and will jump up but am good around kids (was around a 5-7 year old).
My dad had to move to Missouri for work. He only has a small room so can’t take me. My grandpa was watching me but is 80 and getting dementia. Other family members can’t keep me because they have big aggressive dogs.
