Finish work is the final step of the taxidermy process, and it often elevates the mount from great to even better. We take pride in our attention to detail and commitment to making sure each mount is as anatomically correct as possible!🦌🌾

For this we have a really unique redhead for y’all! This mount is a bit of a deviation from the flying poses you typically see come out of our shop, and it turned out great.

We’ve had a ton of whitetails rolling into and out of the showroom this week!🦌🌾

Just a heads up, we’ll be out of the office next week, but are still available for pick ups during most of the day tomorrow & Saturday if your trophy is done.

Currently in the showroom… Not pictured: a half dozen ducks. Waterfowl Wednesday is going to be good this week, y’all!

In the meantime, we’ve been hammering away at the whitetails we took in this season. Our focus this week is finishing out some big boys that are dry and almost ready for their hunters, stay tuned for some awesome pieces coming down the line!

Our names are Colton & Katelyn Campbell, we’re the owners & operators of Purple Antler Taxidermy in our hometown of Rice, TX! Both RHS alumni, Colton earned his degree in Wildlife Science from Tarleton in 2020, & I graduated from UMHB the same year.

Colton is our head taxidermist. He earned his certification from the Central Texas School of Taxidermy in 2023 and just wrapped up his third season in the Purple Antler Shop.

I currently teach Biology and run most of the behind the scenes parts at the shop including finish/repair work and our social media!

Purple Antler is rooted in appreciation for the hunt, as well as the trophy. We create pieces with integrity you can trust, and quality you can count on to last a lifetime. Y’all stop by the shop sometime, we’d be glad to see you!🦌🦆🌾

Full walls are an amazing “problem,” to have!! We’re beyond grateful for all of our clients and how our third season has gone🦌

We’re hard at work on the early season drop offs, but our books are still open if you’re looking to clear out freezer space and take up a little more wall space!
