Associate Veterinarian
Rexburg, Idaho |Privately Owned Mixed Practice |Ownership Potential
Upper Valley Veterinary Clinic, a busy 3 Doctor mixed veterinary practice is looking for an associate immediately. This position is open as either a mixed animal OR small animal associate. We welcome experienced DVMs or confident new graduates.
About the Practice:
We are located in Southeast Idaho in the upper snake river valley in Rexburg, Idaho. We are a mixed general practice with:
· 2 exam rooms, 1 treatment area, and 1 surgical suite
· Advanced equipment including large and small ultrasound units, digital dental radiography, CO2 surgical laser, and treatment laser
· Fully appointment based (walk-ins accepted time permitting.)
Our practice is 75% small animal, 20% large animal and 5 % exotic including 2 local game parks and several local captive elk ranches.
We show over 10,000 clients on Avimark, our Practice Management Software system. We have a support staff of 10 that function very well as a team.
Position Details:
· Schedule: 4-day work week and every 3rd Saturday morning. We divide night and weekend call between the doctors.
· We have mobile practice vehicles for large animal calls.
· Typical cases include but are not limited to spays, neuters, large and small animal theriogenology cases, bovine herd health work, large and small animal dental work, small animal orthopedics, as well as widely varied sick and injured animal cases large and small.

Location:
We are 90 miles from Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and many National Forests and campgrounds. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound in our area. Our practice is in a college town, located in an agricultural rural valley. The area is growing rapidly and the demand for veterinary services is strong.
