The best part about sharing your rabbitry with your best friend is at least one of us is always able to make a show! The worst part? Not being at the show with your best friend! 😭 Especially when our homegrown Mini Leo was the first in our rabbitry to earn a leg!! Foxtrot from Our Aesthetic Rabbitry, also earned two legs (cue all my daughter’s morbid jokes about how to put extra legs on a rabbit.) Earning legs wasn’t anything we expected for a while longer, especially since we couldn’t enter our best rabbits for this show due to the heat…. Those ones are a little more spoiled with AC. 😅 So to say we are over the moon is an understatement! Now back to cleaning cages!! 😂

Chestnut proven senior buck DOB 10/19/25. Cloud Jumper was brought in from Our Aesthetic Rabbitry to help bring in mass and keep our tri color program in the agouti range. He’s been handled a lot, making many appearances at 4-H club meetings, and has even been on the show table as a junior. He’s a false dwarf and won’t make show weight ever again, but has soooo much to offer for someone else’s breeding program for anyone looking to add thickness and good proportions!

Black otter buck and blue tri buck DOB 5/5/26. These two boys are Cloud Jumper’s babies, and are both false dwarfs. We bred false dwarf x false dwarf intentionally to hone in on mass and boy did we get it!! The black otter is honestly *chef’s 😘* for a false dwarf, so perfectly proportional, incredible head shape, thick ears, thick bone. I can’t even put into words how sad I am about him being a buck AND a tri carrier, but we’ve just had too many keeper bucks these last couple breedings! Moving on, because I might cry…

The blue tri false dwarf buck takes more after his mom’s side, whose babies go through some serious uglies but always grow out so beautifully. We have a lot of his half siblings and nieces and nephews that we use in our breeding program, and can confidently say that his slightly pointed looking face will absolutely disappear in a month. His shoulders are not as wide as his black otter brother’s, but comparatively has the same great mass everywhere else.

This pup is going into a home with a rabbit, so we tested it out to see how he would do! He’s going to be great! I used my Rex buck “big blue” as our tester because he doesn’t care about dogs at all. And, big blue will handle business if he needs to. He won’t start anything…. But he will absolutely finish it and tell those puppies no!

We did short introduction sessions so neither bunny nor pup got too over stimulated with each other. So far so good!!

Silver strings BlackBerry. (NFS) this girl surprised us! I really thought she was solid black until Katy said nope… that’s gold tipped Steele.

Sure enough, her sire is a Steele carrier!!!! We had planned to grow her out knowing she is more of a false dwarf than true dwarf, because, we need the mass. Knowing she is a gold tipped Steele is just a fun color genetics surprise!

All of our bucks that are proven, are true dwarves so we want to even things out a little and hang on to the biggens when they come. 🥰🥰🥰

Every rabbitry has a “big ugly doe” that they adore who brings a wealth of mass to the smaller true dwarves. BlackBerry might be big, but she sure ain’t ugly!
