Smoke has been here for almost a week.
Day 1-2 He was terrified of everything and wouldn't even leave his pen. I worked on trust building, catch and release, post up(he would just shake with me over him), and just loved him until he came to me for love.
Day 3 - he left his pen and moved to a new pen. He was terrified of everything especially if it moved. I hand walked him on a short trail and just hungout. Then we started with the small terrifying flag. He thought it was going to eat him.
Day 4- 5 Flag practice again. Plastic bags around the pen. Flank rope. And lots of loving and trust building. With more in hand trails.
Day 6. Today! We made a huge break through! No spooking on trails. Flag no longer bothers him. Flanking doesn't bother him. Cinched up great! Monkey on his back was fine, underneath was a different story but he calmed down nicely! And He posts up with confidence!
