Our group and efforts grew and later in that same year we became Feline Friends of Sammamish, an official 501c3 non-profit organization. We now have over 40 volunteers, over 1

5 foster families and are continuing to grow! In January 2022, we opened a cat adoption lounge in Renton, located on the Sammamish Animal Sanctuary property. We pride ourselves on the lounge's home-like setting. Our cats aren't caged here; they have the freedom and room to play. Windowsills offer birdwatching opportunities; while sofas, cushions and cat towers offer plenty of places to snooze peacefully. Our rescue cats come from all walks of life. During the year, we make trips to Idaho shelters that we partner with (many of which are kill shelters) and bring back an average of 30 cats per trip, who would otherwise be euthanized. Although the van we use has limited capacity, volunteers have been known to pick up a stray cat on the way home! In addition to abandoned or stray cats, we also take in cats from local families needing to re-home their pet. All cats who come to us get a visit from our volunteer vet as well as whatever flea, deworming medications or shots they need. We never refuse a cat who's in less than perfect health. Instead, we do whatever is necessary to get them the care they need to get well ensuring that their new families won't be burdened with unexpected vet bills. Since October of 2019 we have rescued more than 250 cats! We are determined to leave no cat behind! Would you like to help? We are always looking for more people who are willing to foster our cats while we are looking for their forever home. There are volunteer opportunities to take a shift at the cat lounge; you would help with the feeding, scooping the cat boxes and cleaning. Of course, loving on the cats and playing with them while you are there is also very important! Transportation from the cat lounge to vet appointments and back is also an important need. Naming help! We took in Mom, dad and four babies. Dad is Big Mac, Babies are McChicken, McFlurry, McNugget, and McDouble. Debating between Grimace, Fries or Happy Meal for mom. Thoughts?

Ollie one of our black panthers is available for adoption. He loves to play! “From what I’ve seen during my shifts, I think he’s a good balance between playful and cuddly and would be great in a home with kids (or without).“ - Ashlyn

We have our own Jimothy over here near Seattle at Feline Friends of Sammamish. Our little Ishy has a deformed tail and has the cutest waddle to go with it.

There’s not enough talk about Jimothy’s tail. It’s quite funny curled up on his back. I think that’s what is happening.

We owe you a photo of some cute kittens. When we say “it’s kitten season!” It is both exciting and overwhelming. They are cute but they are also a lot of work to take care of and make sure they stay healthy.

Meet our adorable hockey crew—Ref, Icy, Puck, and Zamboni! 🏒🐾 Each has a unique personality, and they’re all ready to find loving homes.

🤍 Ref & Icy are a bonded pair and are looking for a home together. Ref is the definition of laid-back. He loves stretching out on the couch, napping the day away, and birdwatching from the window. His stunning long white coat is just as beautiful as his gentle personality.

❄️ Icy is a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a few minutes and you’ll see her sweet, playful side. Before long, she’ll be cuddling up beside you and Ref for cozy evenings on the couch. Together, they’re the perfect combination of calm, comfort, and companionship.

💙 Puck is the biggest kitten of the bunch and has the most incredible multi-colored eyes. He’s always ready for a zoomie session or a new adventure, exploring every nook and cranny with endless curiosity. But when the day winds down, all he wants is to be close to his people. He’s a champion snuggler who will happily curl up with you every night.

🩵 Zamboni is a little more independent and does a great job entertaining herself, but don’t let that fool you—when it’s time to relax, she’ll be the first to climb into your lap for cuddles. We’d love to see Puck and Zamboni adopted together, but they can also thrive in separate homes if the right families come along.

We have some beauties over here. Gotta love those orange kitties with the weird tails! It’s most likely a genetic mutation from inbreeding but we love them all the same. These kittens were found in a construction site so they have names of objects found on a construction site:

Construction Cone - Orange
Caution Tape - Orange
Screwdriver- black with white spot
Two by four - tabby
