Feline Friends of Sammamish Find us in the Renton Highlands down May Valley Road. We're passionate about cats; finding better homes for cats in need....no cat left behind!

Reservations form https://felinefriendsofsammamish.org/visit-the-kitties-at-the-purr-boxx-studio-in-renton/ In early 2019, a group of volunteers were donating their time to the Purrfect Pals adoption center in a local Petco. Our group and efforts grew and later in that same year we became Feline Friends of Sammamish, an official 501c3 non-profit organization. We now have over 40 volunteers, over 1

5 foster families and are continuing to grow! In January 2022, we opened a cat adoption lounge in Renton, located on the Sammamish Animal Sanctuary property. We pride ourselves on the lounge's home-like setting. Our cats aren't caged here; they have the freedom and room to play. Windowsills offer birdwatching opportunities; while sofas, cushions and cat towers offer plenty of places to snooze peacefully. Our rescue cats come from all walks of life. During the year, we make trips to Idaho shelters that we partner with (many of which are kill shelters) and bring back an average of 30 cats per trip, who would otherwise be euthanized. Although the van we use has limited capacity, volunteers have been known to pick up a stray cat on the way home! In addition to abandoned or stray cats, we also take in cats from local families needing to re-home their pet. All cats who come to us get a visit from our volunteer vet as well as whatever flea, deworming medications or shots they need. We never refuse a cat who's in less than perfect health. Instead, we do whatever is necessary to get them the care they need to get well ensuring that their new families won't be burdened with unexpected vet bills. Since October of 2019 we have rescued more than 250 cats! We are determined to leave no cat behind! Would you like to help? We are always looking for more people who are willing to foster our cats while we are looking for their forever home. There are volunteer opportunities to take a shift at the cat lounge; you would help with the feeding, scooping the cat boxes and cleaning. Of course, loving on the cats and playing with them while you are there is also very important! Transportation from the cat lounge to vet appointments and back is also an important need. If you would rather donate money than time, that is always very much appreciated! For more information please email: [email protected]

All sunshine and rainbows here, once they come to us. The hard rescue work and medical exams and appointments are all finished. We love getting to know our cats and earning their trust.

Sylvester has been with us for 4 months and he’s finally asking us for cuddles. He’s one big softy who loves to cuddle.

And his mirror like twinish brother, Mr. Webster a short hair tuxedo is also thriving and looking for his home too.

Other cats featured: Chloe, Creamsicle, Scout

“Over here, Anne! Anne! Who are you wearing tonight?”

We can’t wait to pet your gorgeous coat!

Anne is a domestic long hair female cat who is estimated to be around 6 years old.

Her acting talent was discovered among blackberry bushes on an evening stroll.

There’s always one trying to get in front and seek attention.

Olaf likes the attention! Blue is a little more shy.
A bonded mother and son pair and currently in foster and have appointments with potential adopters.

Jangles is getting quite plump. He ate his food, P & Z’s leftovers and then broke into Milo’s cubby and ate his too. He weighed in at 13.88 lbs today 😳 he’s very friendly and playful, happy to receive pets and be picked up. He was interested in the neighbor’s dog and did well with a kids who visited today. - Sara

He’s got a lot to love! Our volunteers have reported that he’s quite talkative too which means he meows often.
