🐾💕 WHY DOES GROOMING TAKE A FEW HOURS? 💕We know everyone has busy schedules, and of course you want your baby back home as soon as possible! But at Spoiled Petz Grooming, our goal has never been to rush dogs through just to get them in and out the door. ❤️
Some grooming shops aim for a 1–2 hour turnaround, and while that may work for some dogs, after almost 20 years in the grooming industry, we’ve found that rushing the process can be incredibly stressful for others.
Every dog is different. 🐶 Some need a little break between the bath and haircut. Some are seniors who simply can’t stand comfortably for long periods. Some puppies need extra patience and reassurance. And some dogs, because of their age, temperament, coat, or health conditions, may do better with gentler or kennel drying rather than being pushed through a high-velocity drying process all at once.
A proper groom isn’t simply a bath and haircut. There’s brushing, bathing, conditioning, drying, nails, brushing again, coat prep, clipping, sc******ng, finishing touches…and plenty of love in between. ✂️🛁💗
Sometimes the kindest thing a groomer can do is say, “You’ve had enough for a minute—let’s give you a break.”
That’s why we typically ask our clients to allow a 2–5 hour window. It doesn’t mean your dog is being groomed nonstop that entire time! It gives our groomers the flexibility to work at a pace that keeps your pet as comfortable and happy as possible while still giving you a beautiful finished groom.
At Spoiled Petz, we would rather take a little more time than make grooming feel like a race. 🐾
Because they’re not an appointment on an assembly line…
they’re somebody’s baby. And we treat them that way. 💕🐶
