Will write more soon. Just paid my business license for another year, so I'm still in business. Just no money to advertise. The economy is in the tank and very few people have money. It's a shame because once you get the molds you can make these for about $2.50 ea. Feeling better, just tired.

Haven't been keeping up with posts. Sorry. Looks like my old nemesis cancer has decided to visit again. My daughter, Jennifer, will take up the slack if anything happens. Until I can devote more time, I will be at numerous MD appts. X-rays and ultrasounds, etc. I must devote my energy in that direction for now. Really hate that disease. Yes, I'm making more of my own prints for kids and grandkids.

I have been told that this is the ultimate dog lovers gift from a ladie that bought a kit from me. She said it doesn't mattter whether you make it for someone or give them the set to make their own. She certainly loves her set. Thank you
Sheri for your kind words. It made my day.

Now that I'm getting my E-mails and responding to them, I feel much better I just thought nobody liked my little company. It's nice to hear from people. I need all the input I can get.

Been offline for awhile. Everyone has been down with some kind of bug. Am trying a new way to advertise. A special note* to everyone who has left me messeges via E-mail on my webpage, I haven't been getting them. We are trying desperatly to fix it. If you will E-mail me again and in-put your phone # with area code, I will just call you and answer any questions you have. Let's hope I get those E-mails. I usually DO get my messages on the page.

Just did a deceased dog for my daughters friend Nate. He asked if he could bury her in my pasture. I said yes, of course. It's hard to do but with 3 people it can be done. He will have her paw prints forever.

Made a print of my 2 youngest grandsons together. "big brother-little brother" So cute. They gave it to their mom for mothers day. It really makes a great mothers day gift. She loved it.

It's going to be 86 degrees today. A good day to do some prints and just put them out on the picnic table to dry. I love sunlight.

I added a little too much canola oil to my home-made dough. If you read this, reduce the oil added after you make the dough to 1/4 of a cup instead of 1/2. Or, add a little flour by rolling it out and dusting it and kneading that in. If it's still too oily, dust again.

I was asked about mixing the casting mixes together. You can just scoop 2 cups of each into a 1 gallon zip-loc freezer bag or, if you buy the boxes at Home Depot, you can empty both boxes into a bucket and mix them together with your hands. Wear kitchen gloves or plastic gloves. Make sure your hands and gloves are dry. You won't get a chemical reaction until water is added. Then I just measure 4 cups into those 1 gallon freezer bags (like measuring flour) and label them as casting mix. I always have 5 or 6 ready to go. Those 2 boxes make about 5 prints.

Shipped 5 sets off to St. Catherines school in Tulsa OK. I called them because I didn't think they wanted 5 moon shapes. They didn't. They are doing the kindergarten and 1st grade for mothers day. Glad I called because they needed 1 moon and the rest in hearts and circles. I told the lady to go get lots of playdoh or flour, oil and salt and casting mix. She said it would be ready to go when the molds got there. Mothers day is not far away. I sent her enough pipecleaners and 4 sheets of sandpaper to get her started. I hope they enjoy them. they are so easy and fun to make.

It's been a difficult week for Jen and I. We went to the hospital and printed a baby on life support that was going into surgery to have all her usable organs removed for transplant. Born severly premature. Her tiny lungs just could not mature, but she fought so hard for about a year. So very beautiful. I kept expecting her to wake up and smile at her mother. Very hard to do prints when she could not be moved much. everything had to be done with her laying on her back covered in tubes and wires. Her mom is the bravest young woman I have ever met. Such courage. Knowing her daughter was gone but wanting to help other babies to live. I can't even imagine what she is going through. We managed 5 prints. It's a reminder not to wait until it's too late. Do them now and more then once while they are young. I wish I could do more for that young mom, my heart aches for her.

I am happily shipping kits and casting mix and dough to different states around the U.S. I'm glad to be able to teach some young moms how to do this. I truly think it's important to make these mementos for friends and family. I hope everyone finds it as easy to do as the people in Reno who have made them and told me, "It really IS easy." Thanks guys.

Went to the bank yesterday and the teller(who bought a kit) said "Bonnie, I made one of my dog and it was sooo easy!" Made my heart happy! And my checker at the grocery store, (I won't use names for their protection) told me that the dog they printed last November had to be put down yesterday. So sad, but she is glad they did his prints. It really helps with the mourning process.

For Shila in Reno, I think a cat paw and a dog paw side by side would be adorable. Kinda like big brother-little sister. A great keepsake!

For all the Reno people, I've spoken with Ken at Sierra Feed and he is also lowering the price of Krumprints to $19.99 for everyone who goes there. It not only saves the cost of shipping and handling (outrageous!) but will hopefully bring in new customers for him where they carry EVERYTHING for your pets and livestock.
