Join us for our specialized Toy Puppy & Toy Dog Class, designed specifically for small breeds and puppies who thrive in an environment created just for them.

Many owners are told to wait until vaccinations are complete before socializing their puppies. The challenge is that a puppy’s most important socialization period occurs between approximately 3–16 weeks of age.

That’s why Dog Training by PJ provides a safe, clean, and controlled environment where puppies can continue their vaccination schedule while receiving critical socialization experiences.

🐾 Meet Chocolate Love 🐾 SHE HAS FOUND A NEW HOME!

Chocolate Love is a 4.5-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing about 15 pounds. She is looking for a very special home with someone experienced, patient, and willing to understand her needs and boundaries.

Chocolate Love is playful, smart, and affectionate with the people she trusts. She enjoys short walks, longer hikes, cuddling on the couch, and burrowing under blankets for snuggle time. Once bonded, she can be incredibly loving and loyal.

However, Chocolate Love struggles with unfamiliar people and animals. She can bark, lunge, and attempt to bite when feeling fearful, overwhelmed, or protective of her space. She has bitten unfamiliar people entering the home and has also redirected bites during stressful situations involving other dogs or high excitement.

She would do best in:
✔️ An adult home or home with older, dog-savvy children
✔️ A calm environment with limited visitors
✔️ No other animals
✔️ Someone experienced with reactive or fearful dogs
✔️ A family willing to continue positive reinforcement training and management

Chocolate Love has shown that slow introductions work best for her. Taking a short walk with a new person and allowing them to calmly handle the leash often helps her become more comfortable and accepting.

She is not a dog for everyone, but in the right home with patience, structure, and understanding, Chocolate Love has the potential to be a deeply devoted companion.
