COURTESY POST NOT WITH RES-QUE

🐾 Meet Davey Jones🐾

Davey Jones is a 14-year-old Cocker Spaniel with the sweetest soul and the gentlest eyes. He is a neutered male and up to date on all vaccinations.

Due to a heartbreaking change in circumstances, Davey’s mom is moving into a memory care residence, and we are hoping to find Davey a loving foster or foster-to-adopt home nearby where he can feel safe and settled.

Like many senior dogs, Davey has a few age-related needs:

• Slight vision and hearing loss

• Not-so-great teeth (will have a dental)

• Thyroid and heart issues

Despite these challenges, Davey is young at heart. He is loving, gentle, eager to please, and truly enjoys companionship and comfort.

Davey does best in a quiet, calm environment and prefers women but has warmed up to his male foster. He gets along well with other dogs, though we are unsure about cats.

If you have room in your heart and home to help Davey—whether temporarily while he adjusts or as a long-term companion—he would be forever grateful.

Cider’s foster mom here… and I am so incredibly proud of this little lady. 💜

Cider is doing amazing. Even though she was mostly blind before surgery, losing her eyes was still a big adjustment for her. The first month in my home, I couldn’t touch her at all—she would completely panic. With time, patience, and consistency, she has blossomed. Now she lets me pick her up and even seeks me out for attention. She is a very loving girl and has the cutest little prance that will absolutely steal your heart.

Cider’s perfect home will be a calm, understanding one. She needs......

Minimal stairs
Adopters who will let her adjust at her own pace and understand that trust takes time
A home without children (she can become a snapping turtle when she thinks food is involved 🐢)
Another dog would be wonderful for her

Cider will become your very best friend once she feels safe and secure. We will not rush her placement, and she may require multiple visits before adoption to ensure the best match.

If you’d like to learn more about giving this special girl the loving home she deserves, please fill out an application at www.res-que.org.

Sometimes the most rewarding love is the one you earn—and Cider is absolutely worth it. 🐾✨

Meet Brutus 🐾

Brutus came back to Res-Que about a month ago, and thanks to our amazing foster family, he’s been working through his insecurities and making great progress. He’s doing much better and is now ready—hopefully for good—to find his true forever home.

Brutus tends to pick a “favorite person” at first, but he’s learning that love doesn’t have to be limited and that it’s okay to have more than one best friend. He’s a sweet, loyal boy who thrives with consistency, patience, and kindness.
He’ll do best in an active home where he can get regular exercise and truly be part of the family—not a backyard ornament. Another dog would be just fine for him. As a typical hound mix, he may be a little too interested in cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.
Brutus is around 2–3 years old, and truly a good boy who just wants his chance at the life he deserves.

Interested in giving Brutus his forever home?

Meet Thatcher 🐾
Thatcher is a 9-month-old Livestock Guardian mix (approximately 70% Anatolian Shepherd, 20% Great Pyrenees, 10% Akbash) with all the wonderful traits these breeds are known for. He is sweet, friendly, and social, and does well with other dogs. No cats, please.

Thatcher is house trained and currently working on his leash manners. He’s still young and learning, and with consistency he continues to improve. Car rides aren’t his favorite right now as he gets car sick, but many dogs grow out of this with time and positive experiences.

As a puppy, Thatcher spent time with livestock, but that changed when he ended up at Animal Control around 6 months old.

Like many LGD breeds, once Thatcher bonds with his family, he becomes very protective of his home and people. This is a normal and expected trait for guardian breeds. Because of this, proper training and structured introductions to visitors are essential for his success.

Thatcher is not an apartment dog. He will require a securely fenced yard or fenced property where he can feel safe and have space to thrive.

If you’re familiar with Livestock Guardian breeds—or willing to learn—and are looking for a loyal, devoted companion who takes his role as protector seriously, Thatcher may be the perfect fit for your home.

Thatcher is being fostered in Reno NV. Transport available to neighboring states.

Interested? Please fill out an application found on our website Res-Que.org.

Meet Chase! 🐾

Chase is a 9-month-old, 22-pound bundle of fun with a unique look to match his personality. While his mom and siblings resembled chi-weenies, Chase surprised everyone with his long legs and sleek build, more like a Rat Terrier mix.
Chase is house trained and crate trained, making him an easy addition to the right home. He can be a bit shy and wary at first, but once he feels comfortable, he quickly shows his true self — sweet, affectionate, and very cuddly.
This boy has lots of energy and would thrive with an active family. He would love a playful canine companion and regular walks. Chase currently enjoys long, off-leash adventures and does wonderfully — he’s well-mannered with excellent recall. He truly would make an amazing adventure buddy for someone who enjoys getting outside.
Chase is up to date on vaccinations and neutered, and he’s ready to find his forever home.
If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with a little pep in his step, Chase might be your perfect match. 💙

COURTESY POST...NOT WITH RES-QUE. CONTACT EMAIL LISTED.

Hi, I'm Guillermo, a 4 year old neutered Mexican Hairless (Xoloitzcuintli). I am a very sweet boy but I need a lot of one-on-one attention for training. I can be reactive to unknown humans and dogs. I love people and dogs once I get to know them. I need someone to spend a lot of one-on-one time with me for potty training. I know "sit" and "all the way down" (lie down). I went through a 6 week training bookcamp and I am smart and trainable. I just need someone with the time and experience to help me not be afraid and reactive of new people and dogs and to potty outside.

Jordan's Way is a huge supporter of small rescues including Res-Que and Kris Rotonda is walking the loneliest Highway right here in Nevada to raise awareness for the thousands of homeless pets in shelters and rescues. Please check out their social media and if you can help by donating to them, that would be amazing. We did a fundraiser with Kris and his team last year at Washoe County Regional Animal Services and we had a blast. Right now in the United States, there are so many homeless pets, and the shelters are so overcrowded, people are giving up their pets at an amazing rate, its sad. Having Kris and his team bring awareness to this problem is huge. Check out Jordan's Way.

If there was ever a time you wanted to help, now is that time🌟

Join Kris as he continues Day 2️⃣ of his journey down the Loneliest Road in America on U.S. Route 50 through Nevada! Each lonely mile walked represents another shelter animal sitting alone inside their kennel, overlooked.

Let's help get them seen.🐶
Let's help them find their forever home.🏡
Let's help make a difference.💖

Together, we don't just walk miles...
We change lives.

Join our walk. Join our Journey.
