Join us this Saturday for our Confidence Mini Builder Group Class, designed to help dogs:
✔ Build confidence in new environments
✔ Work through hesitation or uncertainty
✔ Improve focus around distractions
✔ Learn to problem-solve calmly with their handler
We’ll be using structured obstacle work, novel surfaces, and low-pressure confidence exercises to help dogs learn how to think, commit, and move forward with clarity.
This class is perfect for:
• Puppies

• Nervous or unsure dogs
• Dogs that need a confidence boost in new situations

Meet Maverick!!

You can expect to see him quite a bit over the next few months. His owners are starting the process of finding him a new home.

Here's what they have to say about him:

"This is Maverick. A 3 year old intelligent and energetic Cattle dog, Border collie mix looking for a new home. He loves to play tug-of-war, go on runs/hikes, and play fetch. Obedience trained using prong collar and e-collar, he knows many commands and tricks. Maverick is best suited for a single male. Maverick has shown aggression towards Women, Children and other animals. Maverick has a bite history and needs a home that is willing to work with him to relieve his aggression."

That being said, I want to ensure that Maverick goes to a home that is well suited for his needs, and training sessions will be encouraged for him throughout his transition to a new home. Mob K9 will be offering discounted training sessions for him while he's adjusting to his new environment.

Hi there! Mob K9 is officially back from vacation, and we have some business updates.

Cancelation policy:
We do have a Cancelation policy, for all boarding and board and trains we require a 48 hour notice to cancel, if canceled after that widow 50% of total cost will be required.
For one on one sessions I have a 24 hour notice, or 50% of session cost will need to be paid.

Boards & Board and Trains:
Going forward all clients are required to provide their own kennel. I find dogs are more comfortable in their own space, and if I put them in my personal kennels they are being heavily damaged unfortunately.
On that note, I now have forms that have to be filled out by all clientele for boards and board & trains. I'll need email addresses to get those sent over, and they'll be put in a folder that you have access to. In that folder will also be daily report cards for your dogs. It gives you a full breakdown of your dogs schedule that day, including training, enrichment, pictures and videos of training sessions.

EXCITING NEWS: Mob K9 is hosting their first client appreciation photoshoot.
My good friend, and photographer Brianna will be hanging out for 3 whole hours at Idlewild Park on October 5th, 2024. We have her from 9-12. Everyone's mini session will be 15 minutes long, you can do some cool sport dog pictures or some cute little family pictures with props that will be provided.
Please reach out to get on the schedule for that day. This is completely free for you guys, it's just a way for me to show how much I appreciate you guys, and how thankful I am for you guys this past year, so come get some cute pictures with your dogs!!

Today was Slugs first day using the e-collar. He already had a pretty good understanding of ne-po-po from his prong collar, but it was a good reminder for both of us that it needs to be worked more often.
I also encountered a bully today, and I'd like to talk about that a little bit. First, I'm sorry you got offended when I stimmed my dog away from your water bowl. I literally don't know you, and my dogs health and safety is always my number one priority. Secondly, calling me names because you didn't like the way I was using my e-collar is ridiculous. You're literally an older woman, who should know better, and quite frankly you're so lucky that I've done a lot of work in therapy. The cool thing about training tools is the fact that we can use them however we want with our dogs.. for example I didn't call you an idiot when I was walking into the park and you told your dog that you were going to give him "big zappies" if he didn't listen, and kept telling him "platz, platz, platz." Repeatedly. Or his fence aggression anytime someone walked by. Lastly, you can't just ask people who they're voting for as soon as they walk into the park. That's weird as hell.

Here's a couple of announcements for you.

1.) I will be out of office September 15th-30th! If you need boarding referrals during that time, please let me know and I can connect you with someone that has that availability.

2.) Payment is due at the time of service.
(Long term (2+ week's.) Boards/ board and trains not applicable. I'll still be offering a split payment option for those services.)

I personally believe that a dog who focuses on its handler has less opportunities to focus on things that might be triggering for them.
Rewarding Engagement means that your dog learns that good things happen if they pay attention to you.
