Hello Friends!

Its been a little while since I gave you some insights. This pup of mine has made me think outside the box often! She is the sweetest thing but challenging. With the changes I needed to make to help her be her healthiest, and knowing those changes were going to take time before changes were seen, I started journaling.

I ask that you give it a consideration for your pet. We all have busy schedules and time flies. Sometimes when we think an issue has only been a couple weeks it's actually been a couple months!

What things could/should you journal:
🐾Keep a section for breed-specific information and tips.

🐾Keep a section for emergency contacts

🐾Track exercise - any troubles with the distance, started limping, etc

🐾Log any health concerns or symptoms.

🐾Log Food and water
~Log feeding times, amounts, and diet (Brands, when a new bag/brand is started )
~Note any changes in appetite or water intake.
~Note any allergies and reactions to foods or environments.
~Note the brands and types of treats your dog prefers.
~Record special treats or homemade recipes tried.

🐾Keep a record of appointments, vaccinations, and medications.
~Note any changes following vet recommendations.
~List medications and supplements - how often and why are you giving it.
~Track flea, tick, and worming treatments.

🐾Document your dog’s weight, physical changes, behavior patterns and mood changes.
~Record your dog’s dislikes and fears.
~Log the progress of overcoming fears or challenges.
~Monitor seasonal changes; Track the weather and its effect on your dog’s behavior.
~Note any changes in barking or vocalization.
~Note any changes in coat or shedding patterns.
~Track sleep patterns and favorite sleeping spots.
~Log breathing rate and heart rate at rest.

🐾Observe and record social interactions with other animals/people and new experiences.

🐾 Grooming ~ Note preferences and reactions to grooming.

🐾 Detail any incidents or accidents and how they were handled.

There are other things that can be logged/noted as well.
