🐾 HELP US LEAD THE FUTURE OF HSIMC 🐾
The Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County is looking for a passionate, organized, community-minded volunteer to serve as our next Fundraising Chairperson!
This is a leadership role that helps guide and support the fundraising efforts that keep our shelter operating and our lifesaving work moving forward.
You would work alongside our Board of Directors, Shelter Director, volunteers, and event leaders to help coordinate some of HSIMC’s biggest annual fundraisers, including:
✨ Gala
✨ Kritter Karnival
✨ Calendar Contest
✨ Texas Hold-Em Tournament
✨ Wreath Fundraiser
This position is perfect for someone who:
✔ Loves organizing people and projects
✔ Enjoys planning and community involvement
✔ Has strong communication and leadership skills
✔ Wants to make a real impact for homeless animals in our community
The Fundraising Chair oversees the big picture of fundraising efforts — helping events stay organized, supported, and successful — without having to personally run every event alone.
💙 Estimated volunteer commitment averages a few hours a month, with additional involvement during major fundraising seasons and events.
The success of our fundraising directly impacts shelter operations, medical care, adoption programs, and lifesaving services for animals throughout Inland Mendocino County.

We have lots of littles waiting in foster homes until the day comes when they are old enough for adoptive homes! Have you seen Miso, Nori, Wasabi, Yuzu and Nori? These little spicy purritos have been rescued from the wild and are getting tamed in a loving foster home. They will be 8 weeks soon and ready for homes of their own starting 6/13- 6/14!

After 7 years of loving his family, Boomer lost everything due to a housing crisis. This big handsome boy is getting lots of love here with us but he is a home body, size XL, and not made for the confinements of kennel life.

Boomer qualifies for our senior discount of only $50 adoption fee. But it gets even better- if you are a senior and want to give Boomer a loving home then his adoption fee is FREE!

Glow up in progress! ✨🐾

The first picture is day 1 on intake, the next two pics are this morning after their morning meds! Coleman and Eli are doing great- they are recovering from an upper respiratory infection, and now that they can breathe again they are playing, eating and gaining weight like little champions!

We would love to find them a foster home where they can continue their healing journey.

How has YOUR life changed since adopting your pet?

“I adopted my sweet Mandy girl (nugget on the right) in 2020. She swiftly became the best friend of my very shy and nervous dog (Dano, left) bringing him out of his shell.

She has enriched our lives in so many ways-always keeping us laughing with her antics and bizarre, Chewbacca-like sounds. Mandy loves every dog and person she meets.

She sleeps on my pillow face-to-face with me every night and is the best girl in the whole world. I don’t know what I’d do without her.
