Iris reminds me so much of Moxie-Moo when we first got her. Most of you haven't ever seen Moxie be the original fearful dog we got her as. But this dog's video shows almost exactly the same journey Moxie had to become the dog you know today.

When you're looking for a dog to adopt please consider the shy ones. Just because they are afraid of you today doesn't mean they can't be the dog you want them to be! It will take time (for Moxie it took about a year before she became excited to meet new people). But in the end we've so far had 14 years together, 11 of which she was my service dog, a therapy dog to countless people, a therapy dog to countless other foster dogs and helped wean 4 litters of bottle fed kittens.

Dogs are capable of more than you think, even the 'unadoptables'.
