UPDATE: 2023 DOGTOWN USA CANICROSS DOG & JOG

Last year's inaugural DOG & JOG was very successful. We thank everyone who participated, and all those who are asking if we are going to do it again this year. In order to avoid competing with too many other great Bend events at the same time (May) and to avoid potential high temps, we are evaluating alternative venues for Fall (October 2023). We will post updates as soon as we have them.

Our next community nonprofit that will be at the DOG & JOG is 🐾

Three Rivers Humane Society is located in Madras, Oregon. This shelter was born from the idea that shelter animals deserve the best care possible. They are excited and challenged to take a tiny shelter in a small, rural area in a new direction; where animals are seen as individuals, community members are proud to be involved, adopters share their experience with others, and above all…Where Love Finds a Home.

When you adopt from Three Rivers Humane Society you are giving a dog or cat a second chance for a wonderful life. Your adoption fee covers spay or neuter surgery, 24PetWatch microchip, current vaccinations, free vet exam, and an introductory free month of pet health insurance plus an engraved ID tag.

Street Dog Hero will be another featured community nonprofit at the Dog & Jog!

Street Dog Hero is a dog rescue based in Bend, OR which offers dog adoption services to people living in Portland, Central Oregon and beyond.

Their mission is to serve dogs in need around the world and their communities through rescue, adoption, wellness, spay/neuter, and education.

The Pet Evacuation Team -Pet will be a featured nonprofit organization at the Dog and Jog.

The Pet Evacuation Team (PET) exists to serve people and animals in crisis. Emergency animal evacuations and sheltering during disasters are critical to our community and save lives.

They work in partnership with the Red Cross, law enforcement and local emergency services during Central Oregon evacuations, providing care and a safe haven for animals who have been evacuated. They have assisted in disasters for over 20 years, including 16 local wildfire evacuations, and a flood in Prineville. PET also provides crucial support to individuals with animal/pet-related emergencies, and to law enforcement in animal seizure cases.

Their all-volunteer, non-profit organization serves all of Deschutes County, and parts of Jefferson and Crook Counties.
