These transports cost us on average $100 to $250 each trip, depending on what type of vehicle is going and how many need to go that direction, and how much gas is
at that point. We sometimes have sleep over’s at our house for a night or two until transport is ready. If we do take the animal home for a night it not only saves that animal but the one that fills the empty kennel at the shelter. If we had the funding and the unlimited volunteers, we could do these transports at least once a week. We plead for money, drivers, crates, food, and most often we beg for time to find rescues and transport. Can you help? We understand not everyone can foster an animal for the shelter or drive 10 animals to the San Francisco, but there are many ways to help. We are always looking for crates, water/food dishes, blankets, food, leashes, collars and money or gas cards to transport these animals out of the shelters.
