We need fosters! We have 2 sweet boys looking for temporary foster homes: Rooster and Merlin. We need an indoor foster for Rooster before we can get him neutered and vaccinated. Merlin is a tri-paw that also requires an indoor foster. He is heartworm positive and will require treatment. A foster parent’s responsibilities include: taking the babies to their vet appointments, communicating with us, and giving the babies unconditional love and support. We do everything else! Happy Tails! Rusty went home to Camden just in time for Valentine’s Day. This beautiful shepherd has come a long way from some rough beginnings in south Texas. We think he’s going to love the Ohio weather and all of his adventures ahead with his new best friend. Cheers, Rusty! We love you! ❤️

Good things take time. Sweet Waffles is home with her forever family after six months of patiently waiting. With a big canine brother and a little girl of her very own, we think it’s safe to say her dreams have come true! Happy tails, girl- we love you!

Over the weekend, a Rottweiler mama dog was dumped on our road. After watching her for several days, we’re convinced her puppies are not with her, so we pulled our trap out last night to try to get her inside to safety. Our trap is malfunctioning and while she walked into it, she was able to push her way back out. It is below 20 degrees with wind chill in central Texas and we’re not sure if mama will survive the next few days.

We’d like to purchase a higher quality Tomahawk trap to help save dogs like mama. At almost $500, this is a huge purchase for our small rescue. Will you help us make this important investment? Every little bit helps.

Sweet Waffles has been with Salem’s Hollow for six months and no one has shown interest in her. 😢 We wish we knew exactly why. This precious girl would make a great family dog and while she’s a Heinz variety look, her temperament is all lab. We know the perfect family is out there; we’d love to find them so Waffles can go home. ❤️

Sweet Gertie needs your help! Gertie was rescued from the side of the road by a kind community member, Garrett. As we were beginning to get involved, he fell in love with Gertie and decided to give her a forever home. We were devastated to learn that Gertie has Parvo- an awfully painful and deadly disease. Ilsa went home to her forever family in Colorado just in time for Thanksgiving! She already loves playing with her lab cousin and is looking forward to the rest of her happy story. There’s something a little extra happy about a dog built for snow getting a ticket out of the heat. Happy ever after, ice princess! We love you. ❤️
