Update on S. Main St. Sidewalk Replacements (As of 10:45 am on 8-8-25)

The concrete contractor informed us today that they will be starting this work next week. The work area includes both sides of S. Main St. between 2nd and 3rd Streets and a section by the Bulldogs Wrestling Facility. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. Please call 618-282-3339 with any questions

We would like to give notice that there are several construction projects that will be happening in the coming weeks. At this time, we don't have a specific schedule. The paving contractor informed us today that their schedule to start work has been delayed; therefore, they will not be starting work this week like previously stated. We are hoping for a start date in about 2 weeks, but the contractor will keep us updated on an anticipated start date. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. City Hall renovation update: Installation of new windows will begin today, August 4th at City Hall. Work will continue through August 8th or until completed.

City Hall will remain open during regular business hours: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4PM.
