It is time to share an important update about Her Royal Highness, Queen Samiel of Pibbles Plantation Farm.
Samiel is eight years old and has already undergone two airway surgeries—one for her soft palate and another for her laryngeal saccules. Unfortunately, she is now facing laryngeal paralysis, which means her airway can no longer function safely on its own.
She is currently at Penn Vet with an incredible team of specialists, and we are preparing for the possibility of a permanent tracheostomy. This would mean creating a permanent opening in her neck so she can breathe freely without depending on her damaged upper airway.
Yes, it is serious. Yes, her life and our daily routine will change. But this is Samiel we are talking about. She is stubborn, strong, deeply loved, and far too important to give up on.
We know the road ahead will require constant care, cleaning, monitoring, and some major adjustments. We also know we can do this.
Queen Samiel has an extensive and very loyal following, so I wanted her fans to hear directly from us. We will share updates as we learn more and move through this next chapter.
