It is important we find adopters or fosters for at least 3 dogs immediately. Below are some of the fantastic dogs we have available now.

Freckles is a 4 year old dalmation mix. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and one of the best dogs. She will jump a 4ft fence, but walks very well on a leash, is very quick to learn new tricks, is calm, likes other dogs, cats and kids. She weighs around 45lbs and would make a nice addition to any family.

Tennessee. This sweet brown/white pit mix has been with us all summer. He has been consistently dog friendly, likes kids and he's a playful 3 year old boy, but also settles down and loves to snuggle. He has not been cat tested and weighs around 40lbs.

Haggard. This pumpkin spice boy is an adorable shepherd mix. He didn't come from the best situation but he doesn't let that hold him back. He loves other dogs, although he can be a little too playful at times and loves people of all ages. He is neutered, heartworm negative and fully vaccinated.

Gretchen. You may remember her from the cruelty removal of two adult german shepherds and their 6 month old pup. The male and pup have found rescue spots, but Gretchen is still waiting. She's a great girl who wants to love a family. She's done well with other dogs who are calmer and people of all ages. She has not been cat tested. She is heartworm negative, spayed and fully vaccinated.

All adoption fees for these dogs have been sponsored for an approved adopter. Fosters we will provide food, kennels and other basics. Meet Tallulah! She is an adorable 8-10 week old red heeler/terrier mix. She likes to play, snuggle and learn new things. We expect her to be around 30lbs fully grown. Our little buddy found himself in quite the pickle this morning. Thanks to an observant and caring resident he was freed and is back doing what raccoons do.

Meet Martin! He's the sweetest puppy we've met! He's a mixed breed 12 week old baby who is expected to be around 25lbs fully grown. He loves being snuggled, is very happy to see everyone, likes other dogs and could easily learn to live with a cat.

Meet the most adorable velvet house hippo Tonka! She is the cutest little pocket pittie mix we've met! She likes other dogs, people of all ages but she has not been cat tested. She may know how to sit but she's so low to the ground it always looks like she's sitting. Good News, Raytown!😍

We are expanding Animal Services! Here are a few deets:
🐕‍🦺The Animal Services Dept is relocating into a free-standing 2,240 sf bldg at 10312 E 63rd St.
🐈 The new facility will hold dogs and cats.
🐕The expansion will include 2 new staff people.
🚧 Improvements are underway!
🙌Ribbon cutting expected later this fall!
