This sweet boy was avoidant and anxious at first, seeking small spaces to feel secure. When brushing on top of the desk felt overwhelming, he found comfort under it — so I followed his lead. Fearful pets often show us exactly what they need; we just have to listen. This is what fear-free care looks like: patience, flexibility, and meeting pets where they feel most comfortable.
