Bella is all spruced up and ready to sham-rock her day! 💚✨
Nothing like a spa day to bring out that extra sparkle (and maybe a little Irish charm too 😉)

🥶When Winter Runs the Grooming Schedule - Part ? (lost count🤣)...

Here we are again… and I’ll be honest—these past two weeks have been some of the most challenging in my years of doing this.

Between the mechanical breakdown from bad diesel fuel a couple weeks ago, the snow, and now these unsafe operating temperatures, it’s just not a wise move for me to be out grooming today or tomorrow. She is registering at 29 degrees inside despite having a heater running inside set to 65 degrees. Extreme cold is hard on my equipment and increases the risk of freeze issues—and more importantly, it creates the potential for unsafe care of your fur kiddos if something were to fail mid-groom. I just can’t put a dog (or myself) in that position.

This isn’t a post I wanted to make. The last couple of weeks have taken a real toll on my little business, and I’m staring at a very backed-up schedule on top of a fully booked recurring one. But as with every hurdle, I know there is another side—I just need to get there.

If waiting isn’t a possibility there are wonderful shop-based grooming options. I know the owners of a couple of them well and trust them completely.

I’m rolling with the punches, keeping safety first, and believing that come spring, things will be back on track. Thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and grace—it truly means more than you know. 💛

🥶 When Winter Runs the Grooming Schedule - January 28th -

Winter is winning again today. I’ve been out driving for over an hour and the pet spa portion of the van is still refusing to cooperate and reach a safe operating temperature—both air and water. These bitter temps just aren’t playing nice with mobile grooming and the setup I’m working with.

I also have a strong feeling tomorrow may follow suit, so I’m waving the white flag and officially conceding this week to winter. The elements are winning this round. Tug-of-war champion: this cold snap.

I’ll be in touch to reschedule as soon as conditions allow. If anyone needs their pup groomed sooner and can’t wait, I’m always happy to recommend a trusted shop groomer—we’re all in this together. Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and wintertime grace. Actively counting down the days until spring 🌷🐾❄️

❄️🚐Winter Weather Update- January 27th ❄️🚐

After an unplanned ice-skating audition on Route 101 this morning, I made the decision to turn around and head home. Safety always comes first—for myself, my van, and the fur kiddos I care for—and today’s road conditions clearly had other plans. RWD + 60 gallons of water sloshing around I am sure doesn't help any either... but I tried 🤷‍♀️

I’ll be reaching out to affected clients to work on rescheduling once I’m home and settled.

Thank you so much for the continued understanding, patience, and grace this time of year. New England winters love to keep us humble.

Stay safe and warm out there 🥶🩵

As if the mechanical issue wasn’t enough… we’ve got serious cold temps coming in next — single digits and even negatives 🥶 and historically my van takes that as a personal insult. She tries… but in extreme cold she can be a little dramatic warming up, and that can sometimes lead to freeze issues.

So as I come out on the other side of this current mechanic situation and start rebuilding the schedule, just keep the incoming Arctic nonsense in mind too ❄️🙃

Every year around this time it’s something — snow, family sickness (family is always #1), frigid temps, and the occasional “are you kidding me?” mechanical plot twist… but we always make it through (even though I threaten to throw in the towel and move South about 17 times 😂🌴).

And as always—if anyone is unable to wait for me, I’m more than happy to recommend a local grooming shop. I try to get to know other groomers in the area because we’re all in this together and I truly don’t see anyone as competition. 💛🐾

Thank you to my amazing pet parents for being so patient and understanding. You truly make this stressful season a whole lot easier. Y’all are the best humans 💛🐾

Well… this wasn’t on the schedule 😅⚙️
The van has mechanical issues and is headed to the mechanic, so I’m in a holding pattern for now. All appointments today are canceled.
Pet parents will be reached out to by text soon.
Tomorrow’s schedule is pending until I know more. Thank you for being the best and most understanding humans 💚🐾 When it rains it pours...sickness...snow... more sickness...now mechanical 😭🥴
