‼️PLEASE READ‼️

Hey everyone! In my last few posts, you may have noticed that the wording has been a bit different. I have had a few people message and ask why, so I want to address it here just in case anyone else has been wondering.

I have had to be careful of my wording because Facebook does not like people to advertise animals on this platform. I know of many breeders that has lost their entire pages due to being flagged by FB’s algorithm. I do not want to lose all of you, so I am trying to avoid key words/phrases that will trigger this. Facebook and instagram are such awesome platforms for connecting people and building community, and wow have we found some AMAZING puppy families through getting connected on this platform! Again, this is something I do not want to lose!

As far as us making cuts to some of the pups we’ve been growing out, I’ll provide further explanation there as well. As a responsible breeder, there are so many things that have to perfectly align to have a dog enter your breeding program, and you start watching from the moment the pups open their eyes. Sometimes, by 8 weeks of age, there are multiple puppies that look very promising! It can be really hard to pick at that age and know you truly got the best fit. So many breeders will hold a few of the best puppies back and grow them out further. That way, we can have more 1on1 with them after the rest of their litter goes home. They are also at the age to do more individual training, start working on socialization to many more new things, and it gives us more time to look at their structure when they are on the ground in day to day life, instead of only stacking them on a table. It is such an intricate and well thought out process, that sometimes deciding by 8 weeks of age just isn’t doable. So after we have grown them out a bit, we will trim the group down and offer some of the pups to pet homes. The puppies we dont continue to keep are not “defective” and do not have issues. It’s quite the opposite, actually. They are so wonderful that they made the Final Cut as the nicest of their litter! The reason we may not keep a pup vs its sibling may be so small as tail set, ear set, how tight their toes are, etc. Or maybe even we kept a male from one litter, so a male from the other litter doesn’t make sense at the moment. It does not at all mean these puppies won’t make phenomenal pets.

By doing this, it allows me to watch my puppies grow longer first hand and know I’m making the best decision for my program/bloodlines. It also ends up being a blessing that a family gets an older puppy an are able to benefit from us doing a lot of the hard work. So anytime you see a breeder posting an older pup, don’t assume it’s a bad thing! It’s part of the process of making sure the bloodlines move in the right direction 🫶

The next hard choice I’m having to make is sweet Topper. Pictured are him and his parents, Wishes and Scott. He is the half brother to my boys Tuff and Gage.

Unfortunately, he will not be staying as a future stud dog here. He is a WONDERFUL boy. Outgoing, happy, well behaved, and absolutely beautiful. He is a once in a lifetime pup. He’s 8 weeks old. Having to be careful of my wording, so let’s chat more in PM!

Ralph is four months old and the sweetest boy! He is mellow, snuggly, and very easy going. He faithfully goes potty outside via a doggy door, and does very well in a crate. Loves other dogs and is very gentle with children.
