For the month of June Star's no-kill Rescue is having a sale on all our cats and kittens to help us make room to be able to rescue more.

We currently have over a 100 cats in our care all our cats have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV,, they are all up-to-date and shots, dewormed, microchipped, have been seen by our vet, have been fixed, if they are of age.

We do require a vet reference, an application for you to fill out if you rent, we need to talk to your landlord and we need to do a home check too.
In order to adopt one of our rescue animals. We ask you to bring a carrier too.

Wednesday and Thursday twelve o'clock to 5 p m

We need to address a serious issue. Please understand we are a very small rescue. We recieve no funding from any other organization. Many of you think we are connect with Battle Mountain Humane Society. We are not. We are our own rescue and they are a Humane Society.

We are recieving a very high volume of emails, text messages and a large amount of calls to take in cats and kittens. At this time we just can not take in any cats or kittens in. We were able to do ok in May and pay our rent for June. We were able to do very well with our rottilling that I donated all back to the rescue. But we are $2,700 in the hole and going deeper. Each cat or kitten cost us $150 minimum. 💰 💸 💲 💰 and cost us $500 a day for everything.

We have over a 100 cats and no room in our isolation building. Even fostering cost alot of money for food, vet bills liter and to be vaccinated and to be fixed. So please do not cus us out for not taking in cats or kittens. We do not get paid for what we all do for the rescue. Our boardmembers are stressed because they too have several of our cats and kittens and pay into the rescue to keep it going.

We have several Free will donation for our Barn Cats that are in need of homes In June we are going to do $50 for adult cats and $150 for Kittens. 🐈 June is going to be a huge focus on our cats, rabbits and dogs. We need to get our cat building finished so we can help more cats and kittens. We need homes for our dogs 🐕 so I can take down some pens to make them bigger and better. Our rabbits 🐇 need homes so our boadmember can get better with her health.

For example, the other day I turned away 14 cats and kittens, then the next day was 27 cats and kittens. We are mainly a emergency base rescue to help mostly the abused, injuried and neglected. We do help homeless animals if we have the room and funds. 💸

We are a 501c3 Non Profit and run 100% on donations, monthly supportters, our adoptions fees, fundraising, microchipping and volunteers.
There is only a few of us that run the rescue and most of us have a full time job.

I am sorry if this sounds harsh but it upsets us when people call us and get mad at us because of cats are reproducing. When we try to avacate to fix your pets and encourage people to help fix a stray or more.

Our trap, to be fixed, and return program is not free anymore. We charge $50 per cat with a voucher that needs to be approved from West river in there name. We do not keep and rehome them at this time.

We can not take in any feral cats to rehome at this time. We are not set up for them if they get sick and need meds. If they dont eat to get the meds in them, it is so much harder to give it to them and we do not have individual cages for them.

Feral cats do not do good in shelters at all. They get stressed out and then get the herpes virus come out. Please help us control the over population of cats and kittens and trap one or more if you can and have them fixed.

to recieve a discount voucher to get a cat spayed or neutered. Please make sure when traping, that mom's are able to stay with their babies. Help find them homes and fix mom when finished nursing.

****Update- the water is much better now. I was told that there was no water the other day for a little while. So not sure why. But the water is much better now. I just filled up another 5 gallon bucket and its clear. See in the comments.Yaaaa***

⚠️ Attention people over on Cheyenne Dr. In Hot Springs SD. ⚠️
DO NOT DRINK THE WATER!!!! ITS VERY DIRTY!!!!
Normally the water is clear and you can see the bottom of the 5 gal bucket. This is not good and not sure what is making this so dirty.

Please pray its not serious because I have to give this to all the rescue animals and our animals. I hope this is not harmful to us either. If anyone from the water company can exsplain this I would greatly appreciate it.

I am going to have to find water that is not dirty. I hope the water at the water station is clean.

If you want to know if you have dirty water get a 5 gal white bucket and fill it up to see if you can see the bottom.

Prayers please I am so stressed over this.

Looking for Fur Ever Homes or Foster Homes
Please meet Penny and Sadie. We are in need of a foster home as soon as possible for these two cuties. We would love to keep them together if possible. They are house broken and great with kids and other dogs. Not sure about about cats. They are Mini Doodles around 20 pounds.

We do have an application to fill out, we do need a vet reference, we need to talk to your landlord to make sure its ok for you to have pets, and we do require a home check too.

Update - All have homes thank you.

⚠️ FOSTER HOMES NEEDED. Owner needs to find a new place to live. Can anyone foster any of these 3 babies or even all 3? If so please message us. ⚠️

It would be for 6 weeks to 8 weeks max until he can get a new place. Please help us, help someone in need that does not want to give up their dogs.

🌟 🐕 ❤️ Pet of the day is Robin🌟 🐕 ❤️
Robin is a husky mix. Birthday Aug 2025. She is house broken, loves to play with other dogs, enjoys playing in the water, is fixed, microchipped and up to date on all vaciness.

Robin is at our favorite boarding facility having the time of her life at Marta's Doghouse in Deadwood. There staff and owner are so incredible with all the dogs at the this beautiful facility.

They worked with so many of our rescue and have done wonders with them all and assisted us with finding them homes too.

We do require a vet reference, your landlords information and a home check too.
