STARS is a No Kill Animal Rescue in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We strongly believe in helping our community keep animals out of shelters.

We microchip pets for $25, and provide low-cost spay & neuter clinics.

*Update- Thank you everyone. We have raised $120 out of the $500 we would love to raise for todays vet bill. *

This morning I, Michelle Brock am driving from Hot Springs,SD to Salt Creek Vet in New Casle Wyoming with 18 cats. 🐈 😻 🐈‍⬛️ 🐱 In this picture are only some of them.

14 of them will be getting there Rabies vaccine again. This one will be good for 3 years. They all were recently vaccinated for Panleukopenia and dewormed. 🐈 😻 ❤️ Last year they all were fixed.

I will be posting pictures of all of them again soon. Most of these kitties are the of that had 70 cats inside that started from just 2 unfixed cats.

They are all very sweet and friendly. We also have 2 cats being fixed today and they will be barn kitties. They will be going to their new home on Sunday.

Remember this Sunday from 12 to 4 pm will be our adoption event, I will have several puppies ready to go into their new home. 2120 W Main St Rapid City, SD.

If anyone would like to help us today by donating this will help in a huge way. We are not sure on how much today will cost but if we could raise $500 this will help the animals out in a huge way.

**** Update--- first thank you everyone that is so interested in Trigger. Please understand we have several people interested and I had to work on the rescue and drive to Rapid with a couple dogs to do a meet and greet plus return a dog to her owner then go to my regular full time job. Please give me some time to reply to you all. Thank-you. ****

Please help us find Trigger a Fur Ever Home.
He is neutered, 5 years old (although acts like he's 5 months) and kennel trained. He sits, spins and shakes for his dinner
♥️He gets along well with other dogs and also with cats. He does well with children. He loves to snuggle. He is VERY HIGH ENERGY. Absolutely no bite history. I feel he would do best in a large fenced yard or in ranch setting like we have.
He is up to date on all vaccinations.

We do require an application to be filled out, a vet reference, your landlords information and a home check too.

🐕 🐶 🐕 Our Adoption Event will be November 1st on a Sunday from 12 4pm. Our store front will be open Oct 31 st from 10am to 2pm but no dogs or puppies will be there. The dogs and puppies will be there Sunday November 1st from 12 to 4pm 🐶 🐕 🐶

🐕 Please meet Dolly. She was born Aug. 8th 2026. She is a female lab/shepherd mix. Well socialized. Potty pad trained. She will be at oir Adoption event Sunday.

Dolly was 1 of the 3 bottle babies that had her mom hit by a car a few days after being born. There were 3 puppies and she is the only one left without a home to call her own. 🏡

All these puppies will come with all the following.
* Have been seen by our vet
* Have been tested for Brucellois that was negitive
* Have been tested for Parvo that was negitive.
* 3 Booster vaccines by STARS
* Kennel Cough when of age by STARS
* Rabie Vaccine when of age by STARS Vet
* 3 deworming by STARS
* Will recieve Nexgard treatment by STARS
* Will be fixed when of age by STARS Vet
* Will be Microchipped when of age by STARS
* GPS Tracking Devive
* Will recieve a Puppy care packed.
Includes- Food, treats, toys, blanket, training tips and information packet, a calender for next year, and a teddy bear.

We do require the following to adopt a of our rescues:

⚠️ 🐕 This is horrible and sickening, that people do this to an animal and to humans. Please put cameras up around your home to protect your pets and kids from sick people like this. If anyone knows who this person is please let us know. This persons picture should be on the news and all over social media. They deserve to be arrested, I hope that happens and they keep this person in jail so this person does not do it ever again. Please share. ⚠️ 🐕

Can anyone help us with Fostering these two beutiful kittens. We can supply you with all supplies. We have a sponsor that will help us pay for there vet bills and food. We just have no place at our rescue because we are so full.

All these beautiful puppies are ready for their new chapter in life. They are 9 weeks old, except Onyx, he is not from this litter but is on the flyer.

****Note- Jeannette does have an is adoption Pending. ****

The 9 week old puppies are all types of mixes. Mom was a boxer mix. Daddy's were Shepard, Heeler, at least.

Onyx is a Border Collie and Terrier Mix we are guessing. He is about 10 weeks old.

All these puppies were rescued off the rez.
They have been seen by our vet and were tested for Brucellois All were neglected. Onyx was tested today for parvo and was negative, and the other litter was tested for parvo when rescued and was Negitive. They have recieved there first vaccine and have been dewormed. The litter of 6 were tested Friday for Brucellois and was negative too.

Most of these puppies are liter box trained. We do not use p*e p*e pads because they are very dangerous if the puppies eat them. They swell up inside there stomach and it cost $1,400 surgery to remove it.

All these puppies will come with all the following.
* Have been seen by our vet
* Have been tested for Brucellois that was negitive
* Have been tested for Parvo that was negitive.
* 3 Booster vaccines by STARS
* Kennel Cough when of age by STARS

🐇 Update- on Johnson the rabbit that was rescued that was infested with ear mites. 🌞

He is doing so much better. He is fixed, has a best friend that is another bunny, lovable and very greatful. Unfortunately he did have to have one eye removed because the earmites destroyed the eye to much.

Johnson is ready to now be adopted and will be at our Adoption Event this Saturday at our Store front. 2120 W Main St Suite #2 Rapid City, SD from 10 am to 2pm. 🏡

So I have always believed water is very important to animals. I just came across this video and would like to know if anyone has a real story about this water bowl system with there pet. We do use moving and filter water bowls for our cats, but not sure if its this one.

🙏 🐕 Please Help me help Kota find a foster or Fur ever home. 🏡
Kota needs our help. I know our intake is closed and I am full at the rescue, bit I can not see Kota going to the humane society being 10 years old. Senior dogs do not do good at all.

I have no pens available and I will need to make a pen for her to stay with me. I have had her before while her family needed to find a new place. She is so sweet, minds very well, house broken and loves everyone and everything.

Please help me find her a home so she does not have be at my rescue. She is currently living in tha car. Please no negitive comments. The owner is going through a hard enough time as it is.

Kota is very healthy and has a lot of life and love still to give. Please call me Michelle Brock atv605 515 3364 if you could help us with her until we find her a fur ever home. We will supply you with everything you need for her.
